I could never get the app to work when I was at DL last. I believe it was in 2016. I chalked it up to having a CDN account

A poor attitude in my opinion. It's also someone else's vacation. When we show some respect and consideration to others it makes everyone's vacation better.Do it. It's your vacation what others think doesn't matter.
With the criminal photography and rope drop and being there at 45 mins before gate opening, shouldn't be a problem.....it is a long rope or a big hub to secure those attractions spots.
Yes, it’s rude.Wanted to ask the experts, if it is frowned upon to have my husband stand in line at the gate before the parks open, while the rest of us run over to get a Starbucks coffee. Then come join him in line. Thank you so much for your help!
To OP: Personally it wouldn't bother me, but if I were in your shoes I would leave as many people as possible in line (unless you need their help to carry drinks). It still wouldn't bother me with three people joining, but more than that gets iffy.
Now I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I see several people here saying that it doesn't bother them when an adult and child leave and reenter a line because you can assume the child needed to use the restroom. I'm curious what you all think about an adult without a child doing this? I often travel with an adult who needs quick access to the restroom due to a medical condition. When this comes up in a ride line she ends up leaving and skipping the ride to avoid conflict. I've considered seeing if this situation qualifies for DAS on the next trip, but if it's considered acceptable to have her rejoin us in line then DAS would be unnecessary.
Do you shop at Costco or Sams club or such, that when you leave the store they check the receipt.....to see if you have been overcharged for a product?I'm curious what the criminal photography is?

At disneyland, they snap your photo to accomplish two goals.
1.That your ticket was valid at the time of purchasing, because there are criminals out there selling invalid entry tickets
2. That you void any concept in your mind of performing a criminal activity by re-selling the last two days of your 5 day park hopper ticket
3. Protecting the customer from being overcharged.
a man sued Costco for the unreasonable search of his receipt when leaving the store, stating that it was unlawful detainment (other factors also in this case), cost-co, to avoid profiling, stated that is was one of two reasons they search receipts, to avoid overcharging .
Well, technically they cannot require anyone under 18 to take a photo under California privacy laws and in fact it could be a case where taking the photos violate California privacy laws even for those over 18. These laws are why Magicbands won't be coming to Disneyland anytime soon, because they can be used to track movements of guests throughout the parks and there would be no way to control the information collected. If they were to offer Magicbands, they would have to have something in an App or online that would allow you to instantly remove all location data. They get around this with Fastpasses because you have alternatives, such as waiting in the stand-by line.I'm curious what the criminal photography is?
Actually, Costco can say it is to see if you are overcharged, but that makes no sense on the face of it, because there is no possible way that the person checking the receipt has the current prices (an all available coupons, rebates, etc.) memorized for every single item in the store. Make no mistake about it, they are doing it to make sure you are not shoplifting, personally at stores that do this, unless there is no wait, I just walk right by the person checking the receipts, I am not standing in line to leave.Do you shop at Costco or Sams club or such, that when you leave the store they check the receipt.....to see if you have been overcharged for a product?
