Is it possible to get 4th FP for Frozen Ever After?

It's hard to remember unless I'm doing it. As I recall, after I had used my three FP+, I would choose today from the calendar and the park I wanted the FP+ in and what time I wanted it. The app would show me what was and wasn't available. If I was looking for something around 5 or 6, I would choose 5 PM and see what that turned up. If nothing, then I would choose 6 PM and check again . I would keep cycling back between those two times, just choosing alternate times continuously. Or you can just choose "afternoon" or "evening" and keep hitting that continuously.

My own experience is that it's easier to "modify" an existing Fastpass than to get a new one. So for example, after you've scanned through your 3rd Fastpass and are waiting in line for it, go ahead and select an easy to get 4th one (Spaceship Earth for instance at Epcot). Then try to modify it by continously refreshing as the previous poster said. You might then pop up a couple of different times for the ride you really want, although by trying to get it originally, you can't get anything.

Thank you both!! :)

I always thought if you had a fast pass for a tier 1 ride and use it you can't get another tier 1 fastpass later in the day. Is that not the case?

Is it even possible to get FEA as our 4th FP especially during evening EMH?
Yes.

We were at Epcot on March 13. There were two of us and that helped. I planned morning FPs so we used our third FP around 11:15AM. I started looking for a 4th set (I checked 20 or 30 times by repeatedly refreshing the MDE app for FPs so that was pretty easy). Sometime around noon someone must have canceled their FEA FPs and I got 2 FEA FPs for 2-3PM. After that I got a 5th FP for Soarin for 8PM.

I am not saying our situation was typical. It helped there were two of us. It helped that all of our 3 FPs were used by 11:15AM so we could start looking for a 4th set early. It helped it was not peak time although it was much more crowded than anyone predicted.

Hope that helps!

Tiering rules don't apply after your first three FPs. You may find the links in my signature helpful.

Can you get a 4th fp if you purposely schedule the first 3 but let them expire without riding? I am planning for a day at Epcot and won't arrive till 2 or 3pm. If I schedule FEA at 3pm, plus 2 whatever tier 2 rides in the morning, will I be able to book another tier 1 as soon as I check in at FEA?

We did. I realize we were extremely lucky, but it came up the very first time I checked for a 4th FP+ for a party of 3... no refreshing at all. Soarin' and TT were also coming up for times later that afternoon.

That said, I would never go in expecting that. If you have an opportunity to book FP+ for FEA in advance (I didn't) take it.

Possible - well yes anything is possible since someone could cancel their FP and then it would go back into the pool to be grabbed by a lucky person checking at exactly the right time.

Probable - not likely. It would take a sheer miracle of things lining up perfectly for any ride showing no longer available to suddenly be available for a same day after 3 initial FPS to be available.

I've dropped FEA a couple times mid day when we've decided not to go. (We're APH) I always hope that it makes someone's day to get it out of the blue. :)

That said, I've never seen it come up as a 4th option later in the day.

We dropped one of our 5 at 8pm because the 5th person wanted to hold the Ilumunations spot. And he was a 72 yo guy who didn't know the story! I agree with previous poster that I hope it made someone's day to get it. That night the FP line was 30 minutes due to earlier breakdowns - almost out to the main WS walkway.

I'm pretty sure you can. This is an excerpt from the thread that is linked just above:

But what if you don’t want to deal with riding or tapping at Tier 2’s at all? The other alternative is to simply schedule your two Tier 2’s before your Tier 1 and let them expire before you get to the Tier 1. This would allow you to book another Tier 1 as soon as you tapped at the first. This option is particularly useful for the Frozen Ever After FP+’s (which begin at 11am). So you could schedule two at 9am and 10am and be eligible for another Tier 1 as soon as you scanned at FEA. During this time, you could sleep in, ride some of the Tier 1’s with shorter lines then (whether TT or Soarin’), or even begin your morning at another park with EMH before hopping to Epcot.

This what we just did in Epcot last week, although in a different order. I had a Soarin' FP+ for late morning, and then we were going to have lunch and spend some time in the World Showcase. I made two Tier 2 FP+ as close together and as close to the end of the Soarin' one as I could, and we just didn't use them. I think the second one expired at 3 PM, and immediately after that, the MDE app let me search for a fourth FP+, including any of the Tier ! selections. So we did Soarin' again, and then Test Track after that.

I would say no ..

Basically you could probably snag it if someone cancelled theirs that day or something.

If you're talking about the general availability of Tier 1 attractions as a fourth or subsequent FP+, it can be done, even if the system shows that there are none As I noted in an earlier post, I had little trouble getting additional Tier 1 FP+ after using my initial three, just by constantly refreshing the MDE app when it would say there were none available. You have to be persistent and sometimes refresh dozens of times, but I have gotten Soarin', Test Track, and Toy Story Mania, along with other popular attractions in the non-tiered parks (think Splash Mountain and Kilimanjaro Safaris and Expedition Everest) after using my initial three FP+. Just keep refreshing, and it's surprising how many times will eventually show up.

My bad! I read the top part of the post which emphasized needing to at least tap the Tier 2 rides. I did not read carefully enough the bottom part you quoted. As I read it now, @Cluelyss is saying you can only do this with pre-scheduled FPs and not FPs modified day of.

How early in the day do you typically do this? Wondering because a lot of my last fast passes are around 3pm

We've gotten fea as our 4th fp once. So others said, possible but not probable. The ride also broke down for hours that day so we didn't get to ride it (needed to catch a flight that evening)

Time of day didn't seem to matter. One evening at 7:30, I got a Test Track FP+ for 8 PM. In fact, most of my additional FP+ were obtained from mid-afternoon on. The key is repeatedly refreshing the app for the attraction you want, even if it's telling you there are no more FP+.

I also found it helpful to book whatever time shows up, and then doing the "modify" feature to try and get the time you want.

Yes to this. It was actually my most successful tactic. We decided to go to the Animal Kingdom one day without any FP+ in hand, so to speak. On the bus ride there, I tried to get a FP+ for the safari. Of course, it said there were none, but I kept refreshing, and an evening time popped up. I didn't want that time, but I took it and then worked on modifying it. After a few minutes, I got a 9:15 AM FP+. I also got a same day FP+ for the earlier Rivers of Light show. I ignored the alleged lack of FP+ and kept refreshing til I got one for the late show, which i took and then modified by means of constant refreshing until I got one for the early show.

I don't mean to turn this into a debate, but I don't think it matters if the FPs were pre-scheduled or not. I had a Soarin' FP+ and no others on one Epcot day. On that same day after we got to Epcot, I made two FP+ for Tier 2 attractions immediately following the Soarin' FP+ time and just didn't use either of them and let them expire. After the expiration time for the second Tier 2 FP+, I was able to make other Tier 1 FP+, as I described above.
