Hi - No, it's not a long walk from the lobby at all - in some cases its MUCH shorter than getting to your room............ LOL (those hallways can get really long after a full day!!) but, it's very close!!
Wendy-Thanks that's what I was hoping! We recently stayed at the Grand Californian by DCA and it was quite a hike to go get the car...but we weren't using it every day so no biggie. We'll be using the car every day in FL so I was worried about a long walk from the car to the hotel and then the hotel to the room

FYI - there will be a "Reservations Systems Update" affecting WDW, DL, Vero, HH & Aulani effective 4p October 12 through the morning of Oct 14.
No reservations or modifications to existing reservations will be able to be made on line or via phone for resorts, dining, tours, Cirque, etc. This includes providing confirmations and taking payments
Scheduled for another outage beginning 6p on 10/19 and 3 additional times through November & December.
DVC Members were already notified of the 10/13 outage as well as other dates.
Unless they've recently changed procedures, you can only have one credit card on file for room charges.
Bye, y'all -- I'm heading out (staying at an airport hotel tonight). Flying to Orlando first thing in the morning. Getting ready to root DisneyBride'03 to the finish line!! (oh, and my 2 kids who are also doing the Half!!)

Hi guys, It has been quite some time since I have posted. My Father-in-law, DH's dad is dyeing. We lost mom in July, now dad is not doing well at all. He has COPD just like mom. The doctors game him 2-3 days, that was over two weeks ago. He is a strong man who we all love and want around for many more years to come. All the children are here now and we have been doing all we can for him. He has requsted that we clean out mom's things, which we have been working on. There is so much stuff (thought I had a lot of purses and clothes)
As you all know we are schedule to leave on our trip in 11 days. I don't know what we are going to do at this time. Dad told us to go, when he was still communicating on a regular basis. But he also told the sisters to do their trip which they cancelled and flew here (they were going to Orlando) I don't know what we should do. I know we have to make a decision really soon as far as Disney goes and getting any of our money back. What should we do? Does Disney need letters from hospice and such to refund us? Sorry guys, we have been running for weeks now and doing night duty for dad. Guess I am tired and just need some DIS friends. Thank you
No problem, sometimes you really do need to unplug, literally! We didn't bring laptop in Jan (not gonna pay for it when we can get it free when we stay DVC) Scott brought his when we stayed Kidani in March, but I never touched it..We sure didn't bring it on our quick 3 day trips!
Have a great time, looking forward to hearing all about it when you get back!
...how awsome is THIS? Three of my 7th grade students developed this website a few days ago....its in its 'infancy stage' so they have to iron out some of the kinks:
Thank you with your question about room charges. At this time our hotel system does not have the abiltiy to take two credit cards at the same time. This will be changing in the near future but not soon enough for your visit. Each room key, however, has a separate identifier. So the night before you leave you can get a copy of your room account and tally up who should pay for what then have the concierge desk take payment so your account is cleared.
