I will be there in 26 days...

Keep and eye out for us and I'll do the same...I'm thinking we'll spend a lot of time at Victoria Falls or the pool (as long as I can avoid being sick again!)

Do either of you have any problems normally with your feet, they are sore or hurt after a day in the parks? I guess I am just trying to gauge if I can wear them, maybe I can try them and bring along another pair of shoes for the day and see....

I don't have any problems with my feet in general. I don't get that achy ''I've been in the parks all day'' feeling when I wear my FitFlops, even though I have been in the park all day.

And yes, you should do the Sunrise Safari, and then tell us all about it:rotfl:

another question for everyone.....

Sunrise Safari..... Should we do it?

Absolutely, positively YES!!!!! :yay:

And take your time & enjoy the fabulous breakfast at Pizzafari after the Safari. :cloud9: The Guides stay and eat with the group so it's a fabulous opportunity to really get to know them! :goodvibes

Hey, Elin -- speaking of my dream job......... ;) (too bad I have no qualifications for it! :sad1:)

I read on another thread that Fit Flops (at least some styles) are on sale for 50% off at Macy's right now!

I know this off topic but.....

Has anyone tried the FitFlops or the ShapeUps for use in the parks or everyday use?

I have Plantar Fasciitis and have heard good and bad things about them...

I have plantar fasciitis and what works the best for me is to massage my foot with a tennis ball! I roll it with firm pressure for two minutes every morning and every night. I even carried it in my camera bag to use if my foot got sore. I would suggest bringing a variety of footwear, so you can change a necessary.

I wore sketchers shape-ups/tone-ups and I love them. I trekked all over and did not get tired once. Usually, by the time I get to Soarin, I am exhausted from the walk and the climb and rushing to the fast-pass machine. Not this time. They are my official Disney footwear from now on. I want to try the fitflops next. :thumbsup2

Laura - As long as we are looking for your dream job, you might as well dream BIG! Think about going back to school. :rotfl:

I'm not THAT ambitious!!! :rotfl:

Another obstacle: my family has told me they would miss me if I moved to Florida. Appears I'd be going alone!!

:rotfl2:

Athenna, I was hoping to get some of your expert advice! I'm waiting for Oct 5 to book SWA and leaving the Friday before Easter for AKL :) Is it best to book the day their rates come out? I've never traveled during busy season and I usually do the waiting game with SWA and book when the rates drop a little. Any advice you could give would be so helpful :) Thanks, Athenna! :flower3:

From my experience going the last 2 years during April vacation I found it better to book ASAP, since this will be a busy week and the flights tend to sell out faster. The April 2010 flights that we needed never went down and actually sold out a few weeks later.

HTH

OT: I get to get my Disney fix today. We have tickets for Toy Story on Ice:woohoo::yay:

Woo hoo, TXMickeyLover! Did you do your resort online check in today?

lissiesmum, yes that totally counts, making ADR's is fun:banana: I've got a bunch for December. I don't remember if I posted them or not:confused3 Oh well, they say the memory is the first thing to go

Thanks, Athenna! I can't wait to email IPO all of my info...just waiting for the calendar to be posted the beginning of October so I can finalize everything for April. I laughed about your memory going, because I woke up a few days ago sweating because I woke up from a dream thinking that I forgot to make my ADRs and I wasn't going to be able to eat anywhere on our vacation! :scared1: And then I realized, thank goodness it's only a dream! Phew!

Congrats to all of you doing your single digit dance...I'll be doing my six month mark dance next month :) Happy weekend, everyone :)

Thanks for the info! I figured it might be best to book ASAP. I saw a segment over the summer on The Today Show about booking SWA at 3pm on Tuesdays for their best fares...I think Oct 5 is a Tuesday so hopefully I'll have a little luck :) I keep checking the WDW website and all resorts the week after Easter are still wide open...I'm hoping they'll be releasing some discounts soon...please please!

It wasn't for a holiday week, but when we booked this Oct trip on SWA I booked it the day the released the schedule. The fares only went up and have never come back down to what we paid.

Thanks TyRy! This helps a lot and I will be sure to book our trip when I get out of work. I do not want to risk the fares going up, as I'm sure they will be an exorbitant amount as it is! :sad2:

So sorry it took me so long to see this post...I was lazy in turning on the computer this morning:rotfl: and I'm in training for as half marathon, so by the time I ran, showered, etc, I'm just getting here now.
I agree 100% w/miprender, a week like that, you should book asap...And the prices seem to go up instead of down:sad2: so once you see a good price, lock it in:thumbsup2

Since we're staying Club Level, I'm not going to do online check in this time. I can't believe it's only 1 week from today!!!
