The desserts were to die for. So many to choose from. You need to go on a half empty stomach.:rotfl:
Oh that's good to hear! :woohoo: We're eating a TS lunch at 12:10. DH thinks we need to eat dinner, but I think we should go straight to the desserts. :thumbsup2 Wishes is at 10 that night. :goodvibes I can't wait!!! :yay:

ZDs contain liquor?? No wonder everyone loves them lol! Do they have a non-achohol type? My DH cannot drink and I have been hyping these up not knowing they contained liquor. Whoops! If not I guess he will have to trust my palate.

They have very little, and I think it must be cooked off a bit.

If your DH can not drink for health reasons I wouldn't worry. Mine can't and he always has one or two Zebra Domes with no ill effects.

You can find containers of Zebra Domes in the refrigerator case at The Mara. :)

The packages contain 5 (for $3.95 or a snack credit). They usually have packages of ZD's clearly labeled as containing "no alcohol". It changes the flavor slightly, but HEY, a ZD is still a ZD, alcohol or not!!! ;)

:thumbsup2 Neither my husband, nor I drink alcohol and we love ZD's. Our children eat them at Boma. I asked the waitress about the alcohol and she said that it is the equivalent of a flavor extract, which also contains minimal amounts of alcohol. She reminded me that this was Disney world and they would, in no way, put children in danger with the amounts of alcohol in the Zebra Domes. Thanks for the information RachelTori, I didn't know that the ones at Mara were a different version. (Shows you how fast I eat them......)

Just so there's no confusion, The Mara should have both types - with alcohol and without. Just check the package label to be sure you're purchasing the one you want! ;)

Robbie, the pictures are awesome. Looked like you were IN the Pembe Savanna!!! :cloud9:

Hi everyone,

We leave for Disney in 16 days!:woohoo: I haven't had time to read this thread completely (I'm working on it) so please forgive me if I ask a question that has been asked.

We have requested the Zebra trail, Arusha Savanna view and are staying club level. Is there a good chance that we will see giraffe or should we ask for the Sunset Savanna?

Also, my son wants to have an evening at Simba's Club while my husband and I go out to celebrate our 10th anniversary (honeymoon was at Disney :)). Should I be booking that now?

Thanks for any help and I look forward to reading more of the posts, and the Zebra Domes!

Susan

Welcome Liam's Mum:goodvibes

Yes, you have an excellent chance of seeing giraffes @ the requested location!
I would look @ making the reservation for Simba's Clubhouse now, as the booking window for that did open @ 120 days. Usually can get a walk up though, but I wouldn't want to risk it:)

HTH!

Thank you for the warm welcome! :goodvibes

That is my DD Mary. She will be 19 months for our next trip in October. I opted to go for standard view this trip so we could stay a bit longer since she doesn't really notice animals unless they are huge or in her face at this age, lol :rotfl:

Donald is #1,

Awesome pictures of the Pembe Savanna (especially the Okapi)!
