Hi everyone! We are so excited. Our trip begins in 5 short days!

I have a question. Does anyone know what time Victoria Falls closes in the evening? We noticed that the Concierge Lounge closes at 10pm and we were wondering if cocktails will be available after that at VF.

We are still tweaking our ADRs (can you believe it?), and we are hoping for a late dinner at Jiko one night, followed by a nightcap. But we probably won't get out of our dinner until after the CL closes.

I am SOOOOO excited! I can hardly wait to get some of those Zebra domes. I've been trying to drop a few pounds to make room for all of the great food!

I will be arriving at AKL for the first time in 2 weeks with DH, 4 yo DD and 7mo DS. We are staying bunkbed savannah and want to see zebras and giraffes, be close to pool, food, and lobby. Is this even possible If so could you please recommend where we should request to stay thanks

We will be driving so we have access to a car, but would it be easier to take transportation to MK in order to avoid TTS? I should add we have an 8:15am reservation at CRT so what time should we leave if we do take bus? Also if you suggest we drive what time should we leave? No stroller rental needed.

Hi guys! I was wondering if any of you have ordered a specialty cake while you stayed at AKL? We'll be celebrating my DD's birthday and I'd like to do something special for her. Two years back, I got her the chocolate cinderella slipper from CRT, but we won't be dining there or at the GF so no slipper this time. Does anyone have pics of a cake they got or some other kind of birthday treat that might be yummy or chocolatey from AKL? Will they bring it to your table if dining at Boma, Sanaa, or Jiko? I plan on getting ressies at all three...

You want to be in the first 2 'blocks' of the Zebra trail. We were in the first block, had an amazing view, were less than 30 seconds to the lobby and under a minute to the elevators for the pool/laundry/Mara.

We didn't have a car at all, but thought the buses were great, I'd asim to be on a bus by 7.30am for an 8.15 reservation. So head on out to the stop by 7.15am.

I'm going to have zebra domes EVERY day! ZDs for snacks at the Mara, ZDs in the CL lounge, and ZDs at Boma (and I will provide many pics of course!) My DD however loves birthday cakes and unfortunately does not even like ZDs! I know, I know...I'm hoping the taste will grow on her one of these years but the last three trips to Boma, the only dessert she likes are the choco chip cookies!

All AKL-CL rooms are Savanna View. It's the 6th floor AKV villas (there aren't many but they're all Club Level) that may not have a SV. One side is savanna view, the other side is pool view.

And to be honest, I did get on the SV rooms during my first CL stay and I didn't like it that much because we didn't see many animals. I think that it was because our 6th floor room was right above the trees so that the trees blocked the view of the animals.

I am loving all the great pictures. Our countdown has begun. Just a little over 3 weeks (23 days to be exact, but who's counting) to go. Looking forward to some ZDs (all the folks in the know call them ZDs, right?). We have all our ADRs made and my spreadsheet is up to date. If they just stop moving our flights I will have it made.
