I love the views from the 2nd floor...so close to the animals...can you still see them really well on the 4th floor?

there are two animals on cam 2 chasing each other like the speed of lightning right now...can't tell what they are, but boy are they fast!

....well, how many were you planning on inviting?

We're hoping for the $1991 Memories collection wedding they just announced, you can only have a maximum of 4 people besides Scott and I, and that's perfect, we only want the maid of honor, best man, and my father. So there are 3 locations you can choose from. The Luau Beach @ the Poly is what we want:goodvibes
If we don't have the wedding my 4/2012 when the $1991 special ends, we'll go back to doing the Escape Collection @ Sunset Pointe @ Poly.

We do want the after wedding dinner to be @ Jiko:goodvibes

athenna - not sure it would appeal - and you've said that your first choice has always been Poly BUT I wanted you to know that I've seen at least one wedding, possibly two, out on Arusha Rock. I saw a couple on the area to the left once you've walked out - jumping over a broom! Some sort of African custom I guess. They had a little tape blocking that section off. It was on one of my early AKL stays and I thought that was pretty cool :thumbsup2

Dinner afterwards at Jiko is a must

How long ago was that? I think I remember something like that in the Wishes Collection (in other words, I wish I could afford it:lmao:) but I don't think they do that spot anymore:confused3 but it would way out of price range anyway and we don't have enough guests for a Wishes Wedding.

I'm happy w/a cheap ceremony:laughing: And an expensive dinner @ Jiko, paid for by dad:thumbsup2

That was around 2003. You can do pretty much anything, anywhere at WDW but for a price. Sorry if I've suggested something that's too expensive :guilty:

No worries:hug: Well, I've checked the website several times and none of the options they show is AKL.I think they stopped it. But we're perfectly fine w/ceremony @ Poly & dinner @ Jiko:goodvibes

Hi all. Sorry it took so long to finish the report. Got home late last night and I had to do school shopping for son. He starts on Wednesday and has Thursday and Friday off. Go Figure:confused3

Where were we? Oh Saturday. Our last full day. We went to Crystal Palace for breakfast. Pooh and the gang. :woohoo:

It was so hot out there, we left around 2pm and had to return for the wishes dessert party at 9pm.

We did our packing and finished doing more laundry and I took the boys to Community Hall to play some games. We went to Mara for dinner and then back to MK for Dessert.

We had a good spot for viewing and arrived just in time to see the Electric Light Parade again.

A perfect end to the evening.

Yesterday morning we got up and had to run down to the gift shop to purchase 2 carryon bags for souvenigners. It was comical at the check in because my bag was 8lbs over and I had to move some stuff. Where? don't know how we did it but we did and its a good thing my sister had the space bags to flatten some things out.

We checked the bags and went to Epcot for a final run at Test Track and Soaring. Good thing we had those DVC fastpasses. I had one left for three rides and gave it to a family of 3 to ride Test Track. Left Epcot at 230pm back to Kidani at 315pm. Got our bags. Bus came at 330 and back to the airport for our 620 flight back to Newark. Arrived at 830 and home by 1030. should have gotten home by 930 but an accident on the NJ turnpike by the GW Bridge. :headache:

We had a wonderful time and will be going next year around xmas. Doing 3 nights at BLT from Dec 26 to Dec 29 and then doing the Dream Cruise for New Years. Son will be turning 12 on New years day 2012.

Thanks HarlemGirl for sharing your trip with us:thumbsup2

I have a live feed from eyes on ears .com there are animals on camera #4. Cool

Camera #4 had 3-4 giraffes eating at the box up front right side. They walked slowly away as I was typing my first message. :sad2:

Camera #1 had some work people clearing and putting down what looked like fresh white stone. When they finished there was a young giraffe that lazed his/her way over and out of camera range. I am not going to get anything done today until after dark at AKL.

Harlemgirl Thank you for posting a live report. I have had a great time joining in on your vacation. You son and grandson are so cute, you have a very photogenic family. Looked like you all had a super great time together making memories. Now you have a BIG trip to look forward to next Christmas. :cloud9

Hi to everyone, :flower3: Guess I had better turn off the AKL site and get something done around here. :rotfl: Yeah, like that is going to happen when I can maybe see animals at AKL.

Boo hoo, guess you're gonna have to settle for ceremony at Sunset Point and dinner at Jiko :rotfl: It's going to be incredible! :flower3:

Angel16 - I need to check out that giraffe cam :wizard:

Harlemgirl720 - I enjoyed your pics. Crystal Palace looks deserted :earseek:

Harlengirl720 -

Welcome Home!

Looks like you had a wonderful last day in MK, the treats at the Dessert Party looked yummy, I had orginally planned on doing the Dessert Party but opted to hold off till next time if they still have it.
I carry two of those space bags with me also they do come in handy coming home if you need to make space plus my new suitcase this year expands 1 1/2 inches so I am hopeing I can make do after my purchases. DH was over wieght last year on our way down and we had to shuffle items the last minute with everyone putting a thing or two in our backpack carryons

Love your plans for next Christmas/New Years

Thank you all for the nice comments. I ready to read some of your adventures. I am excited about the cruise. Never been on a Disney cruise before. We are on the dream from 12/29 to 1/3/12. We go to Castaway Cay twice and Nassau.

Harlem girl thanks for all the pictures. How did you like the Dessert Party? I am not sure if I could get DH to go for it, but the desserts look yummy.:goodvibes

I keep forgetting about the live cameras until its too late at night.:confused3
Hopefully they will be there tomorrow.:surfweb:
