Is it okay to put family first? (Response to royal family stuff)

Is it my imagination, or did it seem like Meghan kind of thought of that two-weddings story on the spur of the moment? A lot of the time, in interviews, she seems like she's poised and ready with certain information, but the wedding story seemed to pop out of her on the spur of the moment.
I guess it must have seemed like a good idea at the time. lol

All I can think of is how "off" Harry must be to go along with her mess. Totally out there!

Seemingly.
I read an article once about how sometimes "synchronicity" can occur between two individuals and bad things come as a result. Like if two people hadn't happened to meet each other, they wouldn't have separately caused as much harm. It's the fickle finger of fate, in a bad way.

What is an impact officer? I have not heard of that role.
It doesn' t sound like a good company fit for him either....jmho.
It doesn't appear that he has any of those skills.
I have to Google the company now.....😊

I have questions about it as well. Like how did this start up become worth 1.7 billion but an article touted them charging a big company $2000 for their work recently. Idk, it’s weird. And what are his qualifications outside of being famous and titled? I know a ton of mental health/business people but I guess impact means “bring attention to us?”

Maybe making ”hay” on his being in the news lately.

That one was a new one for me, too. But from googling it, I guess it's a real corporate title. Sounds like "rain-maker" might be a synonym.

Seems to be a fairly common job description at many nonprofits. Seems to be more about strategy in positioning an organization's resources.

That being said, he brings a well-known name to the company. Doesn't seem that much different than many people who simply trade on the family name that many would know.

To quote a famous song...

Get to know your parents, you never know when they'll be gone for good
Be nice to your siblings
they are the best link to your past
and the people most likely to stick with you in the future

Yes, siblings lived through some of the same trials and tribulations. There is no substitute. And they will stick up for you when you need it most.

Yep. Princes are a dime a dozen. Sadly this one has no problem cashing in.

I work in a place with a very large Development arm. "Impact" officers usually function as llaisons who focus press and donor attention on the successes that a non-profit organization has, basically demonstrating "bang for the buck" to potential donors. Some of them have a lot of responsibility for managing large-scale result data analyses, but I'm guessing that won't the be case here, as he really doesn't have that kind of analytical skill set.

PS: BTW, there is word that the Queen has done something interesting recently, and it's assumed that she did it because she feels stressed. She adopted two new dogs. (She dismantled her breeding program in 2018, as she said that she did not think it would be good to have to have surviving animals needing homes after she passed.) Apparently with the Duke of Edinburgh in hospital for such a long time, she decided that she wanted more pets. The new dogs, Dorgis, of course, are named named Fergus and Muick.

I don't think Harry has any skills. His only claim to fame is "born into royalty", which he has turned his back on. Meghan's main calling in life seems to be "Drama Queen". They both prove that "class" has nothing to do with money...they have no class and I wish they would be gone.

I don’t get it. What was even the point in lying about that?
Also exposing her great ignorance about the Church of England and it's rites, although maybe one would have expected him to know better. And not anticipating the Archbishop of Canterbury defending himself against what were basically accusations of performing an illegal marriage? How could they not have seen that coming? Oprah's complicity in letting that aspect slide is also pretty frustrating. :rolleyes1

So H&M finally admit they lied about their secret nuptials prior to their wedding. Wonder what other untruths and fabrications were uttered in their bombshell interview? I really believe nothing they say. No credibility at all.

I heard about this but oddly enough, Oprah is doubling down on the story...saying she saw a momento of their private wedding in their home. Oprah has been dropping these stories regularly for the past week, releasing previously unseen sections from the interview. I haven't posted for a while but the stories never stopped -- it's insane considering they said they wanted their privacy to have Gayle, Oprah, their PR team and even the paparazzi dropping these stories nearly every day.

Or racist. I don’t get what would possess her to lie. And Harry didn’t correct her. She had to have known that someone would try and verify that info

Me either. As one commentator said, it was as if they were accusing the Archbishop of Canterbury of committing a crime. Legally he can't marry people without following the rules. They had to have known people would question that -- or at least Harry would have.
