Is it me or are the Epcot area resorts priced high?

I all. I was comparing AP,GP and Fl. Res. rates, and even with the discounts, I can't seem to book a room for less than $300.
UGH

They are priced what people will pay for them. You are paying for the benefit of being able to walk to Epcot and DHS (which I agree is a big plus), as well as the Boardwalk evening entertainment and being able to see the Epcot fireworks at night. There are other benefits as well, of course, but if you picked up the Beach Club and set it down near Coronado Springs, then it would probably be a moderate, at least in my opinion.

Like the pp said, they charge what people will pay and one of the main things you are paying for is the close proximity to 2 parks as well as the boardwalk. With that said, they're actually not that much cheaper than the monorail resorts. Other benefits include larger rooms, a variety of TS restaurants, and a choice of transportation options, just to name a few. While we prefer the MK area resorts, we did enjoy our BC stay and it was great being just a 5 minute walk from Epcot.

I understand the logic behind the pricing, but I just need 1 night for the F&W, 10/27.

I don't understand how needing one night is relevant to the price. Well it's not, but you seem to be tying that together. I have a BB booked for that weekend at BC and I think our room is still $280 with the 35% off.

I was just telling my husband how crazy expensive Disney hotels have become. We have been going for years and the room prices are just not matching the economy (unless you go by gas prices, which are also ridiculously priced). They raise the prices each year and have lowered the discounts. Just a few years ago, you could get the AKL for just under $200 dollars and now you are lucky to get it for around $250 with the AP or Fl res discount.

We were looking for a deluxe for one night as well and it just seems crazy to spend $300 for that. However, we have a 19 month-old and being on the monorail or walking distance is a huge benefit for us. Not sure if it will be a $300 benefit...

I keep wondering if people will stop going and what that ceiling price will be for many people. I'm not sure I know the answer to that question for my own personal limit.

I understand what you're saying..... to a point. I'm fully aware of the nightly rates that Disney charges to stay at one of their hotels and I make the choice of staying on property. Do I think it's expensive? Absolutely. There is the option of staying offsite though. Will I do that? Absolutely not. Even if it's one night or fourteen nights, there are other options of where to stay for less money.
