Or does everybody get overwhelmed trying to explain Disney to friends and family? I get soooo excited , but there is so much info, I mean you have your park hopper option and the extra magic hours and lets not even get in to the dining plan!! :yay: And then you get the look  <<<sigh>>>
I know you can never possibly condense hours of research on the DIS into one conversation, but i find myself rambling and getting a little too excited:cheer2::dance3::yay::woohoo::cool1:

Maybe I should start conducting seminars for family and freinds!:rolleyes1 :lmao::rotfl2: Just a thought ;)

YES!!! I also get the crazy "You're going to Disney AGAIN?" look. It's not like we forego trips to other places, but Disney's our happy place.

I always tell them about all the cool tips and tricks and ways to enjoy themselves, getting myself all pumped for our next vacation (even if it's over a year away to travel back to WDW :rolleyes1).

What drives me really nuts is when they ask my advice and then they come back and say they didn't like something, yet they still didn't take my advice. As of yet, no one I've given advice to has seen Fantasmic because it would be too late for their kids or it was crowded. :confused3 Yet the year we took a friend and her three boys, that was their favorite nighttime show, and last year, DD (who was 15 mos) loved it, even though it was the late show and she'd been rudely awakened by someone stepping in her stroller :sad2:. But she loved it!

But I LOVE planning these trips and talking to everyone about these trips. I'm with you...

I get the look each time I say we are going back. I get the aren't you tired of it yet. I say no way! The kids dont care where we go as long as its away from here!

I enjoy other trips but LOVE Disney!

I get frustrated with not understanding the magnitude of Disney. So many people we know think it's a little theme park and don't get my obsession - even after I show pictures! Oh well I'm starting to think of it as my little secret LOL It's okay they all think I'm crazy

:lmao: :rotfl2: Its ok that's why we're ALL here! To feed our obsession   :cloud9:

I've read lots of these threads about the love everyone here on the DIS has for WDW. We just took our first trip as a family and I have to admit that now I get it and am hooked as well. I cannot wait til our next trip!

My family LOVES It. My wifes side doesn't get it. MY wife says they are dumb (her side)... they are. They also aren't invited.

I had the same response from a lot of friends and family last year when I made the trip. When I gotback and showed photos one of my friends said "wow it's more than just a kids theme park", she was really shocked about EPCOT since she travels alot and siad it looked so real she wouldn' mind seeing it. But a lot of people just don't get it.

I absolutely love researching, planning and going to Disney! Most people who haven't been there think it is one park with just different sections- so clueless! I have tried to explain but they usually get that deer stuck in the headlight look. I am slowly getting my ds-12 and dd-10 into the spirit of Disney and enjoy having conversations with them every so often.

I haven't gotten the "look" as I can only get my dh to go to Disney about every 3 years or so. We are going in November and this will be our second trip where dh has said this is our last trip there. :sad1: His feeling is BTDT, time to go somewhere else. I wish he got it...

I am now looking into going on a Disney cruise in a couple of years- with or without dh!;)
