Or is the clock on the homepage playing tricks on me, first it says it's like 45 minutes until VMK is open I click on the newsletter then it says it's 43 minutes until VMK is open.

Well I think it keeps needing time to update. It can't always be exact, can it?

I think it has to do with the Server time settings that you hit when trying to access VMK. Typically things like VMK reside on more than one server, so depending on what you hit when trying to log on the times may be different.
