Is it just me or does anyone else NOT like Krispy Kremes?

I know, I know this is almost unamerican . Anyway, we were in DC over the weekend and our hotel had Krispy Kremes. I got one for DD because she loves donuts. Ok, I really got it for her because I wanted to try one . Well, I cut off a small piece and at first was really enjoying it but then I got hit with this horrible aftertaste. I had DH try a piece and he said the same thing. So, now I can cross them off my list and save the calories for chocolate .

So, does anyone else not like them?

I personally don't like any donuts at all. I've heard others rave about KK's and they don't do a thing for me either.

That's funny that you were in DC as well. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt.

I love them. I have to watch what I eat (except when I go on vacation). When I go away I have at least two every morning.

Any kind, any filling any flavor.

Boy--I was feeling like I was the ONLY one!!

They are not for me at all. I was "forced" to try one many years ago while on a business trip to Charleston, SC and when that first bite went down...ugh.

Well, "different strokes for different folks" I guess, but WOW, you's that don't like Krispy Kremes? Ya must have an important part of your DNA missing or something...

We finally got a Krispy Kreme in Lansing, and we stop at it every time we get to Lansing which isn't very often.

We love being there in the evening when they're making them, there's nothing better than a fresh, hot Krispy Kreme right off the cooling rack!!

We tried some of the others, besides the plain one and didn't like them as well so we'll stick to the plain ones, but OMG they just melt-in-your-mouth!!! Mmmmmmm GOOD!!!

Hmmmm...

I wonder if you would like a Krispy Kreme that was made just seconds before one receives it, hot and lightly glazed...that's what I like...that and the key lime pie ones.

Of couse I cannot eat them right now because I am working hard to get to my goal weight! lol

I've tried them both fresh and not fresh, and I don't care for them, don't see what the big deal is!

And I love donuts!!

I can take or leave Krispy Kreme donuts. Most leave. There are a couple of local donut shops, one in Cleveland, the other in Hermosa Beach (CA), that, in my opinion, have much better donuts. I think the key is how fresh the donuts are. I've never actually been at a Krispy Kreme when the "hot donuts" light is on, so I have never had a really fresh Krispy Kreme.

Oh how I wish that I could get a donut from the shop on 15th street in Hermosa right now. Yummmm.

Add me to the list, they are too sweet for me, especially when they are hot. I don't know how people can eat 3, 4 or more at a time, I would be sick.

I had my very first one on Superbowl Sunday after many many beers. And you would think that ANYTHING would taste good after drinking off a keg.

Nope.

It was good...but not something I'd pull over and buy...you know?

Too sweet for me! Not a KK fan, but that's probably a good thing since I try to stick to eating low-carb. You're not alone!

DH and DDs love them. I can take or leave them. I find them way too sweet most of the time. Although, the HOT NOW ones are awesome; they just melt in your mouth.
