Is it Juan-uary yet? Bachelor Juan Pablo dish - NO SPOILERS please!!!

...personally, I think her 'lawyer hat' was a little too big...not that I'm taking juan Pablo's side or anything....

Her "lawyer hat" was WAY too big for his pin head...she's lucky she found out before she got into a relationship with this ***...:sad2:

I had a boyfriend like him once, a self centered jerk who only cared about how I looked and how it made HIM look. NO ONE with an iota of well earned education wants to be valued for that. We all know how fleeting the outside stuff is. Andi is trained as an attorney, she knows how to interrogate a person. Unfortunately he's too DUMB to participate in a conversation of any form of intellect. He has NONE.

The excuse of second language is so lame. Most of my exes knew more than two languages, one knew five fluently with English as his least fluent. He still knew how to express himself because he had a brain. Juan PaBLOW is just a dummy. :sad2:

He deserves the last two dingbats and they deserve him. :thumbsup2

I hope Andi DOES become the next bachelorette! I liked Renee but found her plain and boring. Andi would keep those guys on their toes! :cheer2:

Had to laugh when he was talking to the camera saying if she wanted to stay at this point I would have not let her. :lmao: He didn't hear a thing she said.

And what the heck was Nikki wearing to go horse back riding. That girl needs a new wardrobe. She likes to show her cleavage.

Can't wait to see the women tell all show.

:flower3: Can someone go and snip and paste Chris Harrison's blog posts and put them here for us? Someone who doesn't mind being spoiled. :surfweb: Someone mentioned his blog yesterday and mentioned there would be a spoiler to last nite's show. But, since it aired, there might be a NEW spoiler added in, or someone else in the comments or something may have written one.

Also someone mentioned Juan Pablo's blog on People Magazine? Can you copy & paste it here for us? Leaving out any spoiler sections. :flower3:

I want juicy details without the spoilers! And I'm sure others do too. :yay:
Here is the link http://realitytvworld.com/news/the-...rison-juan-pablo-galavis-fell-short-15954.php and there are no spoilers for future shows on it. It spoiled Andi's departure, but didn't name her.

I would NOT read the links on the side since they may hold spoilers. I avoided them myself.

Did anyone hear Andi's comments in the "Women tell all" preview. I think she said, "I just closed my eyes and waited for it to be over!" HAHAHA
I really wish she wouldn't have tried to argue with him. I don't think it made her look good. To me, it seemed like she wanted him to be a little more upset by her departure but he wasn't going there....eets OK.

I'm going to buck the trend, but I do think that some of JP's issues in last night's episode were related to his culture and language skills. I thought his grasp of English really increased since last season but when he was confronted by Andi those skills went right out the window. I also think he's the kind of guy who just wants to smooth things over and not have any drama or hurt anyone's feelings ... but oh boy did he get drama in spades with both Andi and Sharleen.

I think that Andi did the right thing for her. Obviously, being admired for more than "besitos" is important to her. She (and Sharleen for that matter) are not young chicks with no focus. They have real careers and are used to demanding respect from both men and women. JP, with his good looks and career as a professional soccer player, is used to fawning and admiration. That's why his conversation with Andi in the Nookie Suite was all about him. That would not be OK with me and and it wasn't OK with Andi. If it's OK with Clare and Nikki, then that's OK with me :confused3.

I agree, but I had to keep reminding myself that she was a lawyer.:lmao: She kept interrogating him like he would give her the answers she wanted to hear but she didn't seem to realize that he was not THERE.

Personally I think she should've left the message on the video and gone home.:smokin:

I would've been shocked if that happened.
Not because I don't think she should have, but that the show would've allowed it.

I can see Chris saying, "Andi, I think you need to tell him this in person. I think it's for the best. Ratings, I mean."

No doubt :rolleyes1

Especially for promo tidbits... remember we're up against The Voice that week...:listen:

Okay, I just read the article. I have Firefox, so I was able to press CTRL and + at the same time to enlarge the webpage until only the article filled up the whole screen. No side columns. :thumbsup2

Anyway, maybe it's because we've already seen how Juan Pablo really is as dumb as a bunch of rocks, that the article wasn't that juicy after all. :confused3 And I didn't think Chris talked that badly about Juan Pablo. I thought it was strange that yesterday some of you said he talked badly of Juan Pablo, as Chris Harrison publicly represents the brand of The Bachelor(ette).

Chris is not hiding the fact that Juan Pablo is as dumb & clueless as a bunch of rocks. :p It's a bit too obvious to hide, just as Juan Pablo is Latin American. I thought Chris was still being his usual diplomatic self, while not defending Juan Pablo. ;)

'The Bachelor' host Chris Harrison: Juan Pablo Galavis fell short

By Elizabeth Kwiatkowski, 02/21/2014

http://realitytvworld.com/news/the-bachelor-host-chris-harrison-juan-pablo-galavis-fell-short-15954.php

The Bachelor host Chris Harrison admits Juan Pablo Galavis didn't live up to expectations as the reality dating show's eighteenth-season star, but also acknowledges he doesn't think he could have.

"There was a groundswell of support for a guy that was barely on [The Bachelorette] and so he was a pretty obvious choice [to be the Bachelor]. I don't think you can live up to [that hype]. It was like The Beatles walking out onstage. It was ridiculous," Harrison told E! News in a recent interview.

"We've had some popular choices -- whether it was [Sean Lowe] -- but I don't know, there was just this fever for Juan Pablo. It really was this bizarre groundswell of support and love, so I don't know if you could ever do anything but fall a little bit short of that."

Harrison explained Galavis, a Venezuela native who currently resides in Miami, FL, has been unpopular at times because of controversial choices he's due to some cultural differences.

"He has no filter!... He just doesn't understand why everybody gets so upset about things," Harrison said.

"But he's just been himself and he's the guy that I met on The Bachelorette and he's the guy that now is the Bachelor. He really hasn't changed much. He's been the same guy. He hasn't tried to act any different throughout the entire time."

Harrison explained that Galavis gets quite the shocker when he visits the hometowns of his four remaining bachelorettes -- Andi Dorfman, Clare Crawley, Renee Oteri, and Nikki Ferrell.

"It's interesting because Juan Pablo had this marked on his calendar since Night 1. We would have a lot of... deliberations and talks, and he referred to the hometowns as getting to that marker for some reason. It was this benchmark, and I think he felt like he'd really have it figured out by then," Harrison began.

"And I think it threw him for a loop that it wasn't such smooth sailing -- gliding into these homes, like, 'Hey, I'm sharing some [kisses] with your daughter and we're going to get married!' But it's like, 'Wait! Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You're dating three other women and that's not so cool.' I think it just took him kind of awhile to dial it back and realize, 'Wait, I need to impress upon these people that I am caring and legitimately sincere,' and all that."

The Bachelor host also touched upon Sharleen Joynt's decision to quit and how the show's producers handled her exit. In earlier seasons of The Bachelor, viewers wouldn't receive such an in-depth look into the confused bachelorette's feelings and emotions. However, in recent seasons, producers attempt to leave little to the imagination.

"From a production standpoint, it's actually great. In seasons past, we glossed over a lot of stuff because I think you could. I think what is relevant now in relationships and in shows, doing reality TV and creating a good, honest show is different from what it was 10 to 12 years ago when we started this. If someone got naked and went and jumped in the pool, that was a crazy episode! Now, that's a party trick, and if that happened, we may not even show that anymore," Harrison told E! News.

"[In the past], if we had a girl that wasn't sure, the Bachelor might have known she wasn't sure and at the Rose Ceremony, she didn't get a rose and she goes home. I guess it's a way of glossing over it and not really showing it because that's just not what the show was... Our viewers are savvy and they've been with us for a long time. They demand more. I'm glad that we show relationships -- warts and all."

The way The Bachelor franchise has evolved over the years has created a "100 percent" more honest show now, according to the host.

"I think it's more real-life, which I love. It's gritty... and I think it makes for much better television because the show's never been predicated on the fact that it's perfect, people are perfect. Juan Pablo is not, I'm not, you're not. Relationships are hard, they suck at times, they're great at times, we've all been there, we've all been brokenhearted. And so, it's just easy to empathize... I'm glad we showed [what happened with Sharleen]."

As for what's to come this season, Harrison noted it's going to be a bumpy ride for Galavis, a 32-year-old single dad and former pro soccer player. And, according to E! News, the bumps will even include a second woman deciding to leave Galavis and quit The Bachelor before his search for love ends.

"From here on out, the goodbyes are brutal," Harrison revealed.

"He cares deeply for all of these women... there's a lot more crying. He's an emotional man. He wears his heart on his sleeve -- good, bad, ugly. The rest of these goodbyes are brutal, whether it's a woman making the decision or he's making the decisions, it's tough. This is not the Sean Lowe, just cruise right into the harbor, smooth-sailing happy-ending kind of show."

I agree, but I had to keep reminding myself that she was a lawyer.:lmao: She kept interrogating him like he would give her the answers she wanted to hear but she didn't seem to realize that he was not THERE.

Personally I think she should've left the message on the video and gone home.:smokin:

It didn't come off well when she kept badgering him for answers he couldn't give.:rotfl: I think her ego was a leetle bit ruffled when she realized he wasn't as upset as she thought he should be over her leaving him.

I still stand by the fact that he doesn't even know what the word default means. He didn't even freaking know what the expression "the wheels are turning" meant when talking to Nikki. No way is he going to know DEFAULT. I think that was Andi's interpretation of their conversation.

It would've been classier for her to just leave after the video message, I agree. Their personalities were polar opposite, which is why it's crazy Claire and nurse Nikki as the final two. In my opinion, they're interchangeable. Both lack substance and are simple minded, just like Juan Pablo. He wants an airhead chick whose arm candy for him and who will make a decent step-mother for his daughter. That's it. Andi doesn't fit that mold at all. The only thing that would've benefitted him would be his vocabulary because Andi would've been spitting out words he'd have to look up all the time!

I'm going to buck the trend, but I do think that some of JP's issues in last night's episode were related to his culture and language skills. I thought his grasp of English really increased since last season but when he was confronted by Andi those skills went right out the window. That's why his conversation with Andi in the Nookie Suite was all about him. That would not be OK with me and and it wasn't OK with Andi. If it's OK with Clare and Nikki, then that's OK with me :confused3.

I would have agreed with the bolded part, except when he said said how if Andi wanted to stay, HE wouldn't let her, as once she argued with him, as far as he was concerned, IT'S OVER.

He showed who he is. A guy with no real or DEEP feelings for ANY of the girls outside of lust and how THEY should be fawning over him. Once Andi stopped fawning, it was over. He doesn't want a real relationship with any complexities. He just wants to star in his own life.

And the reason Andi was grilling him so much was that she was trying to find out if he had any feelings at ALL for her or any of the women. It truly WAS OKAY that she left. As soon as she got in the van, he stopped thinking about her. Poof! Any thought of her evaporated in that empty brain of his.

And telling her she BARELY made the cut?!?! Like she should be grateful he thought even that much of her? She made the cut because she gave out more than Renee would have. Period.

And he did have more respect for Renee, although I think a lot of it was that he also didn't have feeling sexual for her. He kept her around because she looked good on a sheet of paper (as well as on the show.) She fit a certain criteria, and I bet the producers made him keep Renee around. They probably also hoped she might be the next Bachelorette. But, she really doesn't have a splashy enough personality. Then Andi came out of the gate with her lawyer assessing brain back in gear, a clear winner for next season.

BTW, this is why I always like this thread (and the DWTS threads.) :thumbsup2 We all have such differing viewpoints in what we see. And we can all discuss, debate and agree to disagree, wile not getting nasty with each other. All the snark stays on the TV people. :chat:

At the end.. it's not going to work out with however he chooses. The problem I see is the culture differences. If he can't express himself where others can comprehend or him comprehending others, then that's going to be a huge communication problem. "Wheels are turning" and "Default"... simple. But wasn't understood. Good luck Pablo!

I still stand by the fact that he doesn't even know what the word default means. He didn't even freaking know what the expression "the wheels are turning" meant when talking to Nikki. No way is he going to know DEFAULT. I think that was Andi's interpretation of their conversation.

Did he really not know what "the wheels are turning" means, or does he really think Nikki is a bubble head, and he was just caught out on it? :stir: Even Chris Harrison in the article above said that Juan Pablo has no filter. That's slightly different than not understanding. Although in his case, the lack of filter is because of his lack of intelligence & understanding. :rolleyes1

I think we all thought it was sweet and charming the first few times he didn't understand stuff. But, now, we've seen it one too many times, and as a passive aggressive "excuse" and manipulation to get out of situations, and he's not so charming after all.

And he's tactless, which is what Andi nailed him on -- regardless of which language. Saying he's already had an overnite with Clare, And telling Andi she barely made the cut, as though he was doing her a favor, tactless & tasteless. :sad2:

Meh. I think he was just trying to save his machismo face. You don't want me? Fine. I don't want you either even if you did change your mind and come crawling back to me!

He is filterless!! But you know, I have friends of other cultures and they sometimes do that too. I had one conversation that was embarrassingly blunt because she was using a word incorrectly and then another who would spout off things. Filterless.

I think we all thought it was sweet and charming the first few times he didn't understand stuff. But, now, we've seen it one too many times, and as a passive aggressive "excuse" and manipulation to get out of situations, and he's not so charming after all.

I did too. I'd still kind of find it charming, if he wasn't such a pig. Yeesh, those comments he made to Nikki about her wearing a thong to ride a horse? Trashy.

And he's tactless, which is what Andi nailed him on -- regardless of which language. Saying he's already had an overnite with Clare, And telling Andi she barely made the cut, as though he was doing her a favor, tactless & tasteless. :sad2:

Agreed!!! I'd have sent both him and little Juan packing if he'd said that to me!:furious:

Is that the SAME fantasy suite for ALL the women? Eww! :crazy2:

I thought the same thing! Which is probably why there is a bed AND a couch! And why they only showed one of them in the hot tub.

I gotta say, I like the format of this season a lot better. They should do this more often on The Bachelor. Instead of him choosing, ABC just has to find a Bachelor that is so reprehensible that one by one the girls realize it and leave on their own terms. Much more interesting than the rose ceremony! :lmao:

Here is what i got from Juan Pablo and Clare's "discussion:
JP- We have all night together(wiggles eyebrows. blech!)
Clare- But I want to set a good example for your daughter. I respect you.
JP. No worries. It is week 9. I'm supposed to bang everyone this week.
Clare- But-
JP- Really, it is ok for my daughter to see me banging you. Thanks for respecting me. And my daughter. Now get naked.

Oh! And I finally figured out what bugs me about when she talks! Well, two things. One, she makes duck face. constantly. And the end of every sentence she makes the duck face. second, (and this is where her and Juan Pablo are perfect for each other) she really does look like she is talking just to hear her own voice. She never looks t JP or into the camera when she makes her big long speeches, she is staring off into space. Then when she is done talking she finally makes eye contact. It is classic body language for insincerity.

I felt bad for Andi because in the limo ride she was so composed until of course one of the "handlers" started asking her what she is going to do now and she went on the tearful "I just want to finally be in love, I am at the age where I should be getting married and having a family, what am I going to do now" speech... She is only 26. what the heck!! I know they are setting her up to be the next bachelorette but given her position as a district attorney, I don't think she should do it.. Nothing really good can come of it for her IMHO.

Best part of Monday's episode: the seagull dropping a sandwich on Renee's head.
Best part of Tuesday's episode: the lizard skittering away when Andi called JP a *bleep*
:lmao:

I think he got hit in the head by too many soccer balls...... Not much going on between his ears....:scared:
