I am considering joining the Disney Vacation Club but before I do I would like to know if it is hard to sell your points?

Thanks in advance for the info.

Not at all, as long as you are realistic on price.

At this time, it doesn't seem difficult for the vast majority of those renting. It is a lot of work though. But you never know what's going to happen in the world (hurricnaes, September 11......) so renting is not something that you should consider as one of the deciding factors in buying. What is the case today, may not be tomorrow.

I agree with Happy Birthday Cat. I have rented my points once and felt it was very easy. Maybe I got lucky, but the person who rented made the process very easy. Good Luck!

Was the OP asking about selling all of their points out right or renting (selling) them just for the one year?

We rented points one time and that was to a family member, since then we have had more than enough offers of people we know wanting to rent points if we had any left over.

People who know Disney know that $10 a point is more than a fair price.

Thanks for the quick input. I was not considering the selling of the membership but more the "renting" of left over or entire years points.

renting will not be the reason for joining but it will allow me the flexibility I desire for those years where I may not do a Disney.

$10 a point would be more than great for renting. Not trying to make money just break even on expiring points.

Once again...Thanks for the input.
