Is it ever actually possible to change park reservations while on site?

I am in the same boat. Hopping seems pointless with it being limited to after 2 and 6 PM closes, but if they extend the hours it may work out better. I didn't get hoppers though so I don't think I can upgrade my tickets until I am there (purchased seperately).

You should be able to add the hoppers through MDE! (Or over the phone if you don't mind the wait.) I am waiting to see if hours are extended for our trip, too. It definitely doesn't seem worth it if parks close early. But if we extend, I was planning to add the hoppers through the app to avoid waiting in line at the parks to do it.

The only time I've seen people having problems upgrading tickets is if the whole trip is already at full capacity for park reservations. Otherwise, there shouldn't be any issues adding hoppers now. I did that (and added 3 days) to my tickets on the app myself for my October trip about 2 weeks ago.

Thanks. I thought you could only upgrade existing tickets onsite unless they were part of a package. They were purchased from a third party so I don't know if that makes a difference.

It *should* still be fine through a third party, but you can check in the app. I went through the steps to check for my tickets since I got ours through a third party, as well, right up to the final step of paying. It worked out just fine!

EDIT: In fact, you are correct. I just checked and it is possible. I haven't decided if I want to do it yet, but it's nice to know it is an option. If they extend park hours I may go for it.

We went in January 2021 and reserved 2 days at DHS for this reason exactly. Only DHS was full (as in had no capacity left). We got a RoR BG, so for the second day, I easily switch the reservation to AK. At that time AK was never filling up. I just cancelled my reservation for DHS and then reserved AK. Went back in March. Planned to do the same. Every park every day filled up. So we ended up with no reservation for AK. Since we had poor cell service and wifi in our room we didn't get a morning BG for RoR, but we did get one at 1pm. We found a better spot in the lobby the second day and got a morning BG. Then used our hopper passed to move to AK. Even though all parks were full, they allowed hopping. Hope this helps.

I did it on the website, but you go to your tickets and select "change tickets" then you should see options like reassign and upgrade.

I think on another thread you mentioned you have a package booked through a TA. I don't believe you'll have the option to change your tickets through MDE. Your TA will need to make any changes to your package.

I was able to switch around Epcot and Animal Kingdom over Presidents Day Weekend. It seems like the reservations are running out more lately. Keep an eye on it.

I am sure that availability is different each day, so nothing is guaranteed. However, just as I used to switch FP to a different park last minute, I have switched park reservations at the last minute as well. I have not, to the best of my recollection, switched into DHS, but I have swapped between the other three parks and swapped from DHS to another park. I have been a resort guest when doing the switches, if that makes a difference.

On the wbesite go to your tickets and then celect "Change Tickets" Once you select your party it will lead you to som eupgrade options. It is a little non-intuitive to find it.

When I click change it never goes anywhere, it reloads the same screen over and over, but never goes anywhere else. I guess mine is glitchy?
