Hey Disney fans!
I'm feeling SUPER anxious this morning. Today is the day I can try to get approved for DAS. Like many of you, in the past I had 0 issues getting approved. Now with all these new changes I'm so scared and nervous.
So here's the thing! My trip is for my honeymoon and it was planned and book over a year ago, way before these changes went into effect. From my understanding they are telling a lot of people to simply leave the queue and return. That's where I'm really struggling!! Since this trip is such a big deal to me and my future husband, the idea of having to separate during the trip just seems awful. I know it's not just me, I don't agree with any of it. Families shouldn't have to split up while vacationing together.
I was approved for the ibcces accessibility card but I hear Disney does not accept it. One cast member told me over the phone when I called to ask about it, that since I have this she believes it will help my case. I have my doubts though.
I'm just feeling at a loss right now, and am super stressed about this whole thing! I really don't know if we have time to book a new vacation destination if denied. It's just sad that we have to feel like we need to prove ourselves when people like us already face so much discrimination.
I realized this is a "you don't know until you try" type thing but I just already feel so defeated.
