Is it DIS or "DIZ" - How do YOU say it?

I always thought of these boards as "The DIS" I said it like it was spelled...a long time ago I remember seeing a thread about how do you say it. LOTS of people said they said it DIZ. So am I alone in my calling it DIS? Is it DIS or DIZ????? If I ever see someone at WDW and I get up the nerve to ask them I don't want to say it wrong.

It's Diz short for Dis(z)ney.

I always say Diz, but type out Dis. But usually I just refer to it as " the boards" and my friends and family know just what I am talking about.

I used to pronounce it DIS until one time there was a thread about how to pronounce it and I realized I was saying it wrong. Someone pointed out that it's short for Disney, so pronounced DIZ, so I changed how I say it.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that this used to be called the "disney information station" or something along those lines. So D.I.S. = "dis"

Hi all!

I am the whole reason for the DIS/Diz discussion, in October 2004, I was at Epcot and at the international Gateway, I spotted a fellow Lime green wearer. I bravely went up to her and asked if she was a fellow Diz (D.I.S.) member . She was, sorry forgot her name, and after intorductions, she called me on my Diz choice and we had a great conversion about the two options .

Then she came home and went for DIS reinforcements here on the boards . But at the time the Diz group of craziees came out in force.

I know that it is a acronym for Disney Informaion Station (tink2020, you are right on the money there.) But I actually never thought of it as a shorten Dizney, Just a shorten Disney. An being canadian maybe we sound out our s's different.
