Is it busy around Jan.5th?

Do the christmas and new years crowds seem to die down around the 5th of january. Because my mom thought it would but then i was reading disney books and around new years is when its the craziest. is everyone back at work and in school by then?

Based upon my two New Year's trips, people start leaving New Year's night and thin out in a couple days. By January 5 this year I bet you will have it easy.

I talked to my friend who works at EPCOT earlier today and he said the crowds are pretty much gone now.

We went over New Years once. On New Years day, we went to Epcot and by the evening, we noticed the crowds going down. By Jan 2. there were low crowds and stayed that way unitl the sixth, when we left!

Crowds pick up for the Marathon weekend which will be held on Sunday Jan 11 this year. Marathon itself draws a good crowd!

I've been in the MK for 3 years on 1/5 (2000-2002). Every year crowds were extremely light. In 2000, my first time, I was extremely surprised but a CM told me, just like a previous poster, that crowds all leave right away after New Year's Day. Actually, she said that by then, they're probably out of money!
