It is allowed; you're in an outdoor theater. But I'm not sure how you would go about doing it. You have to be in line at least 30 min before even with the dining package and at least an hour (maybe more) without the package. Once you're seated, you can't send someone to get something and come back in, so you'll have to purchase and hold on to whatever you want to eat the whole time you're in line.
We always do the dinner package and with the badge you wear we have always been allowed to leave and re-enter the theater. One of us stays and the other goes to the QS window outside the American pavilion to get drinks and snacks. They also let you leave and come back to use the restrooms
Yes you can. Can't you? Just did this for Eat to the Beat, as long as someone is there to hold your spot. I'm always running out to Fife and Drum for a Sam Adams.
I imagine it's ok as long as it's not something that would detract from your neighbors enjoyment. Like a rattling bag or loud crunching snacks but that's just a matter being considerate.
You can definitely come and go from the theater once you're seated.
Past practice has been that the CMs at the back of the theater would whisper a password to you - something like candy cane or Rudolph.
This may change though because a few days ago, for the first time ever, I was given a paper return pass to get back in for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Sort of odd because when I returned, the ropes were down and noone was collecting passes.

My bad. I assumed with the long lines waiting to get in, there would be no way to know who was coming BACK in after getting snacks and who was just trying to GET in.
I always sit near the ropes and they were allowing them to come and go with a password. I started to joke with her since I know the password can I get in, of course she said no.
As for the times that was listed above they are off as most are in the standby line for hours before. The line for the dinner package normally goes back to Japan area. I heard many people asking if they would get in and 3/4 of the theatre is for the package people.
I wouldn't concern myself with it. People talk through the processional. I'd rather have someone eating a hot dog and drinking a beer while actually watching the thing.
