I've got my popcorn AND my waffles. This is such an interesting thread! I'm learning a lot AND still finding it hard to believe there are still those folks that support "Dubya."
Keep the commentary coming. And thanks!
If you're comfy with your popcorn and waffles, lets play a little game. Think about the current situation in Iraq, and try to guess who said the following quote;
"Explain to the mothers and fathers of American servicemen that may come home in body bags why their son or daughter have to give up their life?"
That sounds like something that Cindy Sheehan would have said this past summer, right? Think about all the criticism she got for asking the President to do exactly that. Well, Cindy wasn't the source of the quote. It was actually Sean Hannity on 4/6/99 on Fox News complaining about Clinton's decision to go into Bosnia.
Okay, round 2. Who said the following.....?
"If we are going to commit American troops, we must be certain they have a clear mission, an achievable goal and an exit strategy."
Definitely someone criticizing the President's lack of planning in Iraq, right? Nope, this time it was Karen Hughes, the spokesperson for Presidential candidate George W. Bush criticizing Clinton's decision to go into Bosnia.
Okay, last round for now......
"Victory means exit strategy, and it's important for the President to explain to us what the exit strategy is."
Why, that would be Texas Governor George W. Bush himself, talking in his capacity as a candidate for the Presidency about then-President Clinton!
Interesting, don't you think?!?
