Yes, hell has frozen over - at least in our neighborhood. We live in a seriously conservative-bible belt-right wing-Republican area. DH and I have been Republicans since we started voting decades ago. ALL of our neighbors are Republicans. The day after Palin was announced, you could hear the dominoes falling up and down our road. More fell as time went on. And not because she's a woman. We weren't overly impressed with McCain, but as good little Repubs, we'd have stuck with him. But not with Palin.
A few folks aren't going to vote at all now, but many will be voting Democratic. (This is STUNNING for this area, believe me.)
Palin was a BIG mistake in our little corner of the world.
