Is Flying Fish wine tasting worth it?

I love Flying Fish and was considering trying the wine tasting dinner during my trip this November. For those that have done it before, did you find it worth the time and money? From what I have seen in other reviews, the portions look really small (but may be sufficient because there are several). I am a big wine fan so that part was appealing, but so is a relaxing dinner at another signature restaurant like CG. Thoughts?

Far as I know, Flying Fish is still closed for renovations. Things may be different when they reopen.

The word is that the renovation is making it possible to accommodate more diners for the Chef's Wine Dinner. I've never done it, but Flying Fish is one of our regular spots and would be interested to hear from those who have indulged.

Flying Fish is our all-time favorite Disney restaurant. We participated in the Chef's Tasting for the first time last year; and it was divine. We enjoyed it more than our V&A Queen's Room last April. The personal, friendly attention from the Sommelier and Chefs were a perfectly pleasurable mix of professional, fun, relaxing, and classy dining. Our dining companions were nice also. I felt the number of courses with wine pairing were just the right amount and all the food was heavenly. I am watching daily to see if/when FF will open for our September trip this year. I am also very excited for the new themed bar.

My husband and I did the tasting last May and we absolutely *LOVED* it. It was well worth the cost and we thought it was a bargain for what you got. We're hoping it will re-open in time for our October trip so we can do it again.
