Is Facebook being really slow for anyone else??

It's timed out for me a couple of times while I was trying to upload photos, but that's it.

I just did a web search on Google news for any problems with Facebook and found nothing....you would think with this many people on the Disboards having trouble, it's probably affecting tens of thousands and there would be something in the news about it. I couldn't find anything

I signed in to FB about 8 min ago and all that is coming up is the logo and the toolbars at the top (Profile, Home etc).

I think y'all may want to compare notes with regard to service providers and sub-nets. Since many of us are not experiencing any problems (I'm having far slower response from the DIS this afternoon), it is likely that any issue you're having with Facebook is not with Facebook itself, but rather with the connection your service provider and Facebook.

I just went to Farm Town and it was slow but everything else is fine

Same here. Farm Town has been slow and booting people quite a bit today.

The game is so addictive too!

The rest of FB hasn't been that slow. The DIS is slower for me today than FB.

Funny I should find this tread because I was just about to post this very question.
Facebook is EXTREMELY S-L-O-W! Doesn't load properly and every time I post it takes FOREVER or kicks me out.

The Dis on the other hand has been running very well for me. Not slow at all.

Go figure.

Well, we almost have an answer here. Looks like TWC is the main culprit. But how to explain those who don't have TWC and are having trouble. Thanks again to the PP who mentioned posting our ISP...that was smart and something I never considered. So we are seeing a bit of a trend.
