Is everyone doing ME or anyone getting towncars?

After being spoiled by towncars for the past few years, I'm just not sure I can do the ME thing (does this sound like the value/moderate/deluxe dilemma?).

I need to stop at the supermarket too :confused3 .

So, once again, I need to find an expense to cut to justify spending "another hundred dollars".

But I *Love*    planning a WDW vacation!.

We've done towncar service or rented a car the past several trips, and are using ME this trip. We figured that it was cheaper for us to pay wegoshop.com to do our grocery shopping for us than to rent a car for a day or use a towncar service, and ME *should* let us feel like we're part of the Disney magic from the time we arrive at the airport. (Fingers crossed that none of the problems the early adopters have reported are still happening when we arrive.....)

We using ME; figured we would try it. The towncars definitely have me spoiled, though! However, we did Mears for many years, so I'm hoping the experience will be closer to the transportation we had for the Disney cruise. I've heard the buses are similar. Can't complain about the price! ;)

The ME "system" is supposed to be the same as (modeled after) the Disney Cruise Line transportation. Never done a cruise so don't know whether the DCL transportation has been absolutely flawless for each and every guest.

If you need the grocery stop, or if you want to go off site a lot, a towncar or rental car is still the way to go. Will the towncar companies be on their best behavior now that ME is "out there" as an alternative?

We are trying the ME service this year. We usually rent a towncar, but we thought we would save a few extra bucks and spend it on a nice meal at Epcot this year. After reading these boards, it does sound like everything is going much more smoothly than the first week.

Here are my two problems, if i use wegoshop, then I have to plan out in detail everything that we would want for a week. If I go with a towncar then I only have a half hour to try to shop for everything I want for a week! What should I do? I would like to be able to do it myself, but I don't think I can in a half hour!!! I have three kids and my dh and I, that's a lot of groceries for a week. I thought about using the store's faxing service, and then they could have the items on my list ready and I could shop for those little extras, I wonder if that would work.

I don't want to rent a car though. I already have reservations through Sunray for my pick up and drop off. I am going to stick with that. I do not want to stand in a line of 300 people even if it IS moving fast. I have a baby, a child with autism and another child, plus my dh and I. I would rather get the towncar (actually van) through Sunray.

After all my initial hesitations, we decided to stick with ME. We usually use Murray Hill Transportation, but thought we would try ME this time. I received my ME packet on Monday, 9 days before trip and everything was correct. We love to eat in EPCOT, so the extra $100 will be dinner at Teppanyaki. This was the highlight for my kids last November. THEY requested this dinner. I have just been finalizing my grocery list for wegoshop.com and I actually found that 1/2 hour at the grocery store was cutting it close. Murray Hill still offers 1/2 stops, but several towncar companies have cut down the time to either 15 or 20 minutes. That is definitely not enough time. I suppose whatever people try use will be best for them, and if not there is always the next Disney trip to fix it!! :rotfl:

You know, if I got my packet well beforehand and all of the info was correct and there were enough luggage tags, then Iwould probably go back to my original plan of using it and just keep the kids away from the line at the airport and let my dh go check in and use wegoshop, but until I get that package I am nervous. Really nervous!
