Is Dumbo a must see for little kids? or is it over-rated??

My kids are now 12, 10 and 7 now, and Dumbo is the VERY first ride we do when we get to MK. On our first trip when DS was 4 and DD was 2, we made it our first ride because we wanted to avoid the long lines later in the morning. It has since become a tradition that we always go to MK first, and Dumbo is always first ride. I still remember that feeling of exhileration as we flew over Fantasyland and I kept thinking "We're really here!" Dumbo is the start of many magical moments each visit for our family. I'd ride it once with your family, first thing in the morning. That way you can cross it off your list of things to do, and won't have to wonder if you're somehow depriving him of Dumbo (lol!)

My 19yo and 16yo still ride Dumbo first thing when we make our annual trip!
