Or is there a good time of the year to go to beat the crowds? We usually go to WDW in January and never wait more than 20 minutes for rides. Are we going to need to be ready for longer waits in DL no matter what? TIA! :goodvibes

I think so and what? DL in January is like not crowded at all? I want go then lol I hate lines and the only reasopn I <3333 roller coasters and such is the thrill and tummy drops so when it comes to lines its not my fave thing anyway I think I'll go to DL in janurary then, good plan lol I just laid out my mind right there anyway thanks!

It is more crowded at DL all the time, because there are not as many places to disperse people like there is at WDW. Plus it has been more crowded with the 50th. It is also always packed on weekends because so many locals have passes and they come every weekend. I was there the second Saturday of December and they had to close the park because it was too full. I would guess that after the 50th Celebration is over, things may quiet down a bit. January should be a pretty good time to go, especially mid-week (not President's week).

We usually go to DL in January the only downside is depending on when you go Small World and haunted mansion might be down to remove the holiday decorations.

January / Feb are both good times to go. You will find more things closed for refurb, but its part of the give and take. Early May also seems to be a good time to go. Its after spring break, but before summer. I was there last weekend and my husband is there today (not bad for people from Seattle! LOL). We both found it a good time to go. However, next May might be a bit busier. The new Nemo ride is scheduled to be done around then, and that will bring people in.

We went last week and Wednesday and Thursay were very uncrowded by Disney standards. Friday a lot more were there because they had fireworks and open late I think.

The least crowded was when I was there in February. We were there around the 12th. It gets busier around President's day weekend.

Disneyland always seems crowded during weekends and every day in the summer and school breaks due to easy access by locals. The best time to go is a weekday during the fall (October-November) or winter (January-March). We went on a Superbowl Sunday and found the shortest lines we ever experienced there.

We just got back as well. We were there from April 23-27 and we had little or no lines at all. I think the most we had to wait was 20 min and that was for Peter Pan and Dumbo!!

We went in Febuary a couple of years and the longest line that we waited in was about 20 min it is buser during the weakends and around holidays ( more locals than WDW )

We get annual passes every other year. We never, never, never, never go on Saturdays or summer. We find that midweek once all the kids are back in school (September - May), is the best time to go. Early Dec. is a good time to go as you can see all the Christmas decorations and crowds are lighter. January and February are probably the lightest. Now that our kids are all in school, we go frequently on Sunday afternoons. We get there about 2. Many locals seem to go home around dinner time. This is more crowded than a weekday but not so bad. Fully utilize the fast pass system and your waits will definitely be less too. Hope that helps!

We just came back and on the weekdays the lines for the "bigger" rides were anywhere from 10 to 15 long. Seems the "smaller" rides had longer lines but maybe because others don't like taking their kids out of school so only the little kids were there during the same time as us. On the weekend however the lines for the "bigger" rides were 1 1/2 hours approx.
