I am sorry, I know nothing about them and tried to read a bit on the thread stickied at the top but at 75 pages long I just can't sort thru it and get the info I'm looking for.

Are these dining vouchers still being sold? I've heard they expire in May or June. Exactly what do you get with the voucher? Is there anyplace besides ebay to buy them online?

If anyone can just explain what they are and how they work in simple terms I'd really appreciate it. The sticky at the top gives all the places they are good at so I don't need that but it assumes you know what the vouchers are and I don't.

thanks!!

From what I have heard Disney is no longer offering the meal vouchers. I dont know of any place still selling them other than Ebay. Have you tried the Dis auctions? There may be some up for sale there. The vouchers that are currently out expire on May 31st 2005.

Copied & pasted after finding the info in the thread: Updated: 05/15/04 resturant changes for vouchers expiring 05/05
Everything (almost) that you wanted to know about the Walt Disney World Meal Vouchers.

The meal vouchers, often referred to as Connection Meal Vouchers come in 3 different forms. There are the Quick & Casual Meal Vouchers (Q&C) which can be used lunch or dinner time and many counter restaurants in the parks. Then there are Breakfast Vouchers that can be used for breakfast at different places within the parks. The Vacation Kingdom Lunch Vouchers (VKL) which can be used for lunch at various places within the parks. The VKL can usually only be used during normal lunch hours (ending between 2pm-4pm for most restaurants). Both the VKL and Breakfast vouchers have separate vouchers for Adult and child.
Items offered with each voucher are listed in the Where can I eat section.

Where Can I eat?

"Quick & Casual" Meal Vouchers (Q&C)

Each Quick & Casual voucher costs $11.50 and is valid for a full counter service lunch or dinner at a participating restaurant location at the WDW resort. With each voucher you can order your choice of one of the following: one combo meal (entree, side dish and non-alcoholic beverage) and one dessert, OR one entree, one side dish (if not included in the entree), one dessert and one single serving non-alcoholic beverage. Tax and gratuity (if any) are included. Alcoholic beverages, souvenir drink mugs and room service are not included. Current vouchers being issued expire 5/31/05. These vouchers can be used during both lunch and dinner hours. You will almost always come out at least even on the Quick & Casual vouchers. At many of the locations, the vouchers can save an adult (or a kid with a big appetite) money at many of the locations, especially those in the theme parks. Rule of thumb: if you would be spending at least $11.00 for the meal before tax, using a voucher will be a good deal, because tax (and tip, if applicable) is included. Also, many of the combo meals are big enough that two people could share one and just purchase an additional drink (and possibly an additional side order).

thank you WDWBetsy, that gives me the info I was looking for. They seem to be going pretty high on ebay and may not be worth the hassle.

There is an auction ending soon for 2 lunch vouchers that is up to $85 (assuming its 2 of the $31 ones). I don't want to feel like I have to order just to get my moneys worth.

Thanks for the info though. I've been to Disney before and never knew these exsisted!!

It's too bad they're not selling them anymore. We used them on our last two trips and saved a lot. Plus ate a lot... but I kept saying, we're walking all these miles per day! :teeth:

Definitely keep looking though because there are a lot of people who sell them for about what they paid for them. I think some people sell them on the DISAuction section, too.

Anyway - hope you have a great time!!

Actually, there are some up for bid on the DISAuctions, but there is no way I'd pay more than $15 for each voucher. It's crazy!

Please be aware there is an expiration date on the vouchers

On ebay they also sell for more then thay are worth. They are getting rid of the vouchers because Disney now offers the Dining plan with the pckg and want your money.
