Is Disney Dining Considered a Hobby? Update 12/23 Last Meal

I love the plating of the bread. A few years ago we tried all the dipping sauces and they were not on this platter. The cups were on one plate and the bread on another.
Sanaa is one of our favorites, but we've missed it our last two trips. When we have a car, we made it out last day late lunch as AK always seems to be the 'best park" on our departure day.

Love your Sanaa review! We ended up eating there last week. LOVED the bread service! I wanted to order it to our room the next night :cool1: Your entrees look great - had I been hungrier I think I would've went with that option, but I just stuck to the bread service since I wasn't too hungry.

Great review of Sanaa! Based on what you had, it seems like less changes were made to the lunch menu than the dinner menu that I had back in May. I recently discovered that Hunter and Paula's friend Chef Eddie (who used to be at California Grill and Citricos before that) is now a chef at Sanaa and probably was there when we had dinner at Sanaa in May. It made me feel a little guilty for pretty much panning Sanaa in my dinner review, since I'd always enjoyed the special treats he made for us when I dined with Hunter and Paula at California Grill. I didn't get back to Sanaa on this last trip, but maybe on the next one I'll have to give it another try. That is, if Chef Eddie is even still there by then, since I likely won't be going to WDW again until next fall. :worried:

I didn't know he moved over to Sanaa! I have read about him and the other dining reviews. I am having a dilemma to either eat at Sanaa or Yak & Yeti this Friday on my solo trip. I guess I could have worse problems! I will you make with a trip not until next fall :rotfl2:

image.jpegUpdate Time!

The next morning we had our daily breakfast in the club level and for lunch went to a favorite of ours in the MK the Columbia Harbor House. I had the salmon with rice and steamed broccoli, with a side of fries instead of the dessert. DH had the fried shrimp with fries and instead of dessert a side of broccoli. Everything was delicious as always and is a solid choice for QS in the MK.

I want Boma for the bread service alone! Looks very yummy. Love CHH and that you can get a healthier option that tastes good too :thumbsup2

Is it bad that its 9 am and I want some of those shrimp ; ) We love CHH too, we've missed it the last few trips but definitely need to get back

Hey Lori! I'm Maura! I'm following along but I *think* this is my 1st time to comment.
Everything looks good so far food wise!
My DS was 16 months on his 1st trip to WDW & it was one of my favorite vacations in my life. Did you get to use the baby care centers? We LOVED them! We don't use them anymore since my DS isn't a baby anymore. I'll be sad when he's out of a stroller though. I'll hang on to that as long as I can!!:rolleyes1

Also it's nice they let you sub dessert, I'm going to try that too when we don't want to overload on sweets! GREAT idea!

Not at all, I could go for some as well!

Hi Maura! We use the baby care centers all the time, I love how quiet and cozy they are. I hear you Alexander just turned 17 months and I am like slow down time!!

I am so glad they now offer that as I am not a huge dessert person.

Yachtsman Steakhouse

For dinner that night we were joined by a good friend and fellow Air Force Pilot Jeremy, who was there with some family that week also. We met up in the bar area for a few adult beverages before dinner. Warning they do not pour light at all! I had a magical star and the boys had mai tais. It was nice to unwind while waiting for dinner and Alexander enjoyed hanging out in his stroller people watching. We were called about 30 minutes passed our ADR, but we were having such a good time we didn't care. We were seated and out came the delicious onions rolls as well as another type of roll with the sea salt butter. Peter and I had the filet which was just pure heaven on a plate! Instead of dessert we were allowed to sub for the lobster bisque (excellent) and Peter had a salad. This thrilled me as I never can eat dessert here, as I am always stuffed. This was the best filet the Yachtsman has graced my pallet with!! Jeremy had the salmon which he said was excellent. Our meal took 2 hours but we had a great time and a few more cocktails, thank goodness baby passed out during the apps. We cannot wait to return and a bonus was having a good friend there to share it with.

Now I am hungry for roasted garlic on bread! So yummy! All of your dinners and drinks look good. Love meals that take long but seem to fly by and yay for a sleeping baby...appreciate that now while you get it. I would kill for any of my boys to take a nap :rotfl:

Wow YS looks awesome! Those drinks look so good too. I don't often get a chance to enjoy one, but WDW makes some of the best cocktails ever.
