Is Disney cutting back on hours/ evening entertainment in 2015?

I was just looking at the hours and showtimes that came out recently for March and April 2015, and it looks like for most days the hours at MK are reduced compared to the 2014 hours :confused3 It also looks like there is only one showing of Fantasmic and MSEP scheduled each night during the busy Easter/ spring break period this year. Do you think that Disney is trying to save money after spending so much on the new fastpass plus system, or are extra hours/ evening shows often added at the last minute? Just curious, since I'm wondering whether these reduced hours and limited showtimes will persist through our May 2015 trip! Thanks for any insight that you all can offer:)

I don't think Disney is necessarily cutting back hours/evening entertainment in 2015. What they seem to be doing is initially releasing slim hours only to expand them later on as bookings warrant. For my January trip, hours were released 6 months out that looked like a major cut back from 2014. On Sept. 14th, they expanded the hours especially around the first of the year. For Example, on Jan 4th, MK was 9-9 it's not 9-Midnight with a second MSEP, DHS went from 9-7 to 9-8 with a second Fantasmic, and DAK went from 9-5 to 9-8.

Thanks Johde- that was a very helpful response! I'm glad to hear that it is likely that the hours will be extended later on

Keep an eye on easyWDW.com. Josh will post as soon as updates are made.

I hope they aren't cutting back... 2015 is my first trip ever and I want to take advantage of everything!

I definitely saw this happen as well before my trip I took in early May. I was worried at first as the hours were much shorter than the same time the year before, however they quickly expanded by the time I was able to reserve my fast passes!

I booked on 10/6 when the new discount came out (for February), and wrote down all the hours to plan everything. Today, not even a week later and the hours changed to allow for much later hours. So, I wouldn't worry! ;)

I'm pretty sure the same thing happened my last two trips, too.
