My DS and I are not real big eaters we usally share a adult meal when we go out to eat.
It seems like way to much money to spend when I know we wont eat that much plus we have to pay inCan. funds.
WE plan to do the hopp dee do
and eat at the casltle on christmas day any sugg.?
what are are chances of still being able to see the C.P without the dinner ,we will be there from the 19 to 26 of dec.

You do not have to book the dinner package to see the Candlelight Processional. You will, however, need to arrive early and wait in line for the show (the first performance may be the easiest to get into.) I've been to two shows in one night before (friend HAD to see Jodi Benson).

The CP can easily be heard from behind the open air theater. We still enjoyed the show without seats.

If you want seats (without the package) than you will need to wait in a longgggg stand by line. If you are standing in line for a later show you will hear the previous show.

I agree with the previous posters. However, I wonder if they caught that you are visiting during the peak Holiday season.

The closer you get to Christmas, the more difficult it is to see CP without a Dinner Package. The CP is a very popular show. The dinner package people will literally fill up the theater beginning the weekend before Christmas. There are generally very few seats for standby guests. I think you will find that you need to line up at least 2 hours ahead of time to see the shows (to get one of the limited seats in the theater or even to stand directly behind the last row of seats so that you can see). As mentioned, you may be in line while one of the earlier shows is running.

That said, IMHO, the beauty of the CP is in the narration and the music. You do not need to be in the theater to hear either.

If seeing the show is important to you (as opposed to just listening to the story and the music from nearby), I think you should reconsider the package.

Enjoy your trip!
