Is Dec.13-19th busy in the parks?

We have been to WDW in early Dec. but never Dec.13-19th. How busy are the parks? We've been during 4th of July and also Thanksgiving,and wonder how these dates compair? Seems like last year and this years the parks have alot more people and I also know,you really can't depend on for sure ever really know ahead of time,but just wondering.Any help woud be great. When do people start coming for Christmas?

You are getting close to peak. 12th-16th should be good, and then the weekend and later should be very crowded.

Based on my own travels, the parks will be okay until Friday evening, and by Saturday and Sunday will be very crowded.

We were there a similar time a few years ago. We were leaving that Saturday and the crowds rolling in made me glad to be leaving Disney for the first time ever.

It's because many schools start to let out on that Friday for Christmas break.

Our school will still go a couple days the next week, but many don't and it really turns the tide on crowds.

The roll in like a tsunami! We had gotten in a boat from Epcot to the beach club I think, and the swarm of people was crazy. Tempers were flaring already and we still had two days left. Saturday at Osborne lights was shoulder to shoulder, and then our mad dash to the MK for a repeat of the parade and wishes made us glad we were on our way home the next day. We found that we don't do well in crowds like that.

We were there at that time last year (12th-26th) and have also been on 4th July a few times. The last few days will be busier than the first but still quieter than 4th July. Now the 23rd onwards, that's a different matter! We'd definitely go again at that time though.

we were there dec 13-22 in 2014 i think. the saturday was really busy at MK, i was a bit blown away because i didn't know what to expect. i was not feeling great about upcoming week. but we went to epcot on the monday and it was like... wow... this is nice! none of the parks were as busy as that first saturday.
