We are headed to the World in 8 days and was wondering whether or not CC was open?

Thanks for the help.

I believe it is not. It is part of the Met Life pavilion, which has been closed most of the time, since Met Life pulled its sponsorship.

I believe I read somewhere that the whole building is being taken apart. Which is very sad. Cranium Command was one of my favorite shows and I wanted to see it just one more time. :sad1:

Last I read, it said "open seasonally". We never got to see this show and I was really hoping to take my boys. Bummer!

For what it is worth, I thought the calendar on the disneyworld.com site said Cranium Command and The Making of Me will be open for the month of May.

Revision: I read it that way, and it says the same for April...maybe they are saying that the "Open Seasonally" status applies for the entire month, meaning, in fact, that it is closed? Yet, March shows "Open Seasonally" March 22-31??

From this week's WDW Park Update on mouseplanet.com:

The Wonders of Life pavilion is closed for good.

"Open seasonally" means that it'll be open when they determine that the crowding elsewhere is going to be so high that they need the extra attractions to deal with the crowding situation. Notwithstanding the fact that some attractions are labeled that way, even with major crowding apparently they won't be reopening this unsponsored (and perhaps unsponsorable) pavilions.

I was there last week, and the sign in front of the Wonders of Life pavilion says "Open Seasonally". I saw no evidence of the building being torn down.

Cranium Command was part of the Wonders of Life pavilion along with Body Wars and The Making of Me. A few years ago Met Life stopped sponsorship of the pavilion. Since then due to lack of sponsorship and an even bigger lack of popularity the pavilion has operated on a mostly seasonal basis. Only opening on holidays and other very busy times. While the pavilion is currently still listed as "open seasonaly." There is a very good chance you will never see it open again. Although the building and everything in it still remains intact.

On my EPCOT tour yesterday my guide EM said that Wonders of Life had just been repainted. The reason it is not listed on the parkguide map anymore is that people were getting very upset with guest services over it not being open. I am thinking that they will put out maps that show it when it is open (around Easter, Christmas, highcrowded tiomes in the summer) and the maps without it when it is not open to avoid getting questions about it.

Wonders of Life was open when we visited in December. It was good to see CC and Body Wars for what I'm sure will be my last time. The pavilion was empty other than those two attractions (and maybe Making of Me). It was a little depressing remembering how fun and vibrant it used to be inside, but fun to ride BW and see CC all by ourselves nonetheless.

It was open one of the days I was there in January. I was pretty surprised. The attractions were running (Body Wars, Cranium Command, etc). But the pavilion just seemed empty - retail outlet was empty, food outlet was closed, etc.

The WDW website says it will be open next week.

Sorry, but when the site says "Open Seasonally" followed by a set of dates, it means the attraction is NOT open during those dates.

Here are a few listings copied from the WDW site (including the week you mentioned).

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [March 23, 2006 to March 31, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [March 23, 2006 to March 31, 2006]

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [April 1, 2006 to April 30, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [April 1, 2006 to April 30, 2006]

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [July 1, 2006 to July 31, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [July 1, 2006 to July 31, 2006]

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [Sept 1, 2006 to Sept 30, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [Sept 1, 2006 to September

From the listings, it looks as if these two attractions are not open any time during the next 6 months (including about the busiest times of the year at WDW.)

Hey, with Disney, anything is POSSIBLE... but it doesn't look good regarding these attractions' futures.

I'll be there Tuesday. I'll report back when I come home.

As Reagan used to say, "Trust, but verify."
Good point.

I just meant that I am there nearly everyday and there is no sign of it opening anytime soon.
