All this talk of cotton candy reminds me that it looks like fun to eat, but it tastes yucky!:scared:

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! *dies* Cotton Candy is THE best!

It's only icky when my kids get ahold of it!! EWWWWWWWW:crazy2:

I need a hose to clean them off when they're done.

No, cotton candy isn't icky; it's STicky!! And yummy and impossible to eat without feeling like a kid and grinning like a nut! We just had some yesterday at a ballgame; can you tell?

I'm with you grinningghost, I'm not a fan of cotton candy myself.

Sorry, Jeff! Go funnel cakes! :teeth:

It's pure sugar that melts on your tongue when you put it in your mouth....WHAT could be better than that?!?!?!

mmmmmm I really really really want some now!

Yes - funnel cakes are where it's at.:D

Cotton candy is the equivalent of licking the inside of a sugar bowl.;)

::yes:: ::yes::

I think you feel this way just because you don't understand the goodness that is in Cotton Candy. It is the perfect food. When you feel bitter it brings you sweet. When you feel bloated it brings you lightness. And when you are done you have that cool paper cone that you can use as a bullhorn. It has been said that Cotton Candy is the building block to all matter.

Yeah, I think they built the Pyramids with cotton candy.

Cotton candy is too sweet. It gives me a headache, and a toothache just biting into the stuff. And I don't like the way it sticks in the pits in my teeth.
What are funnel cakes? Is that anything like fried dough? Or is it something that doesn't exist here in the north?

It's alot like fried dough. Which is quite delicious too.:D And I'm in the north.

I love Cotton Candy. Last time we were at WDW, I ate 3 bags in one day at the Magic Kingdom. I looked like this :hyper: on the bus back to POR.

Yum!

Funnel cakes - :confused3 I don't see what people like in them. I'd have an elephant ear before a funnel cake. And even then I'm just not very fond of either.

Cotton Candy - what's wrong with licking the inside of a sugar bowl? Cotton candy is the best fair food, IMHO! ::yes::

It's the same thing! I had an elephant ear up in Jersey with my husband for the first time maaaaaaaany years ago, but down here they are referred to as funnel cakes!

Up here an elephant ear is flat and covered with chocolate syrup, cherry pie filling, apple filling ... just about anything goes.

But if you order a funnel cake it's like long threads (not real sure how to describe it) of dough and dusted with powdered sugar.

Maybe it's not the dough that makes a difference to me but what it's covered with. I like the cherry pie filling best.

::yes:: When I had it up there for the first time, we just got it with the powdered sugar and a bit of chocolate I think but it was long threads of dough. They had called it an elephant ear.

Anything with fried dough and something on it is the best!! Yum!
