Is Club level at GF worth it?

Just upgraded our room to club level. It sounds worth it. I wonder what the experts on here think.

I can't speak for GF CL, but we've stayed Poly CL and will be staying there again in November. Being "worth it" is subjective, but we love it!

If you are spending a lot of time at the resort, have kids that are ALWAYS wanting a snack/drink then I think it's nice. We stayed CL at the Poly on our first trip and used the lounge regularly, but often missed the evening appetizer time. We loved being able to walk down for an adult beverage in the evening after the kids has passed out from the park days. DH usually did this while I relaxed on the balcony! I used the concierge for ADRs, too, but found I like doing it myself in subsequent trips.

$ for $, it usually doesn't work out in your favor. However, that little bit of ease and pampering was really enjoyable.

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely like the idea of ease and pampering when I travel.

For me, it's not worth it. I didn't find the pampering to be equal to the money spent. I've heard of great experiences where they were aware of your arrival and you were immediately escorted to your room, however that was not the case for us. We had to look around and weren't escorted anywhere, which was frustrating. Turndown service was nice, but again, not really worth the cost. The concierge was also nice, but again, not worth it. There wasn't anything they could do that the "regular" concierge couldn't. We were never at the hotel to enjoy any of the snacks. I dunno, it just wasn't worth it to us.

Worth is subjective. We choose CL periodically, depending on the way we plan to vacation on that trip. WE stayed CL at teh BC when we were there starting on Thanksgiving Day. We knew that we would be spending more time at the resort, and we knew that we may need help securing the ADR wanted. If all you want is the snacks and the offerings, no it is not worth it. if you plan to use the services adn the amenities offered, and that helps your vacation to be restful or relaxing, then you will find it to be a value.

Did you find them helpful in securing the ADR you wanted? If so, where was it? Did you give them a specific time or were you just open? They were so unhelpful for me with this that I found it better to just do it on my own. :(

I'm not generally interested in club level, however I probably will stay at GF RPC one of these days - as that is the only way to stay in the main building which one of these Christmases I'd like to do. Sugarloaf club in the outer building I have 0 interest in, personally.

We have stayed GF in the main building and felt that it was worth it. We spend at least 3 or four days as resort days and loved being able to have a snack or drink whenever needed. The lounge is spacious and open to the lobby music and entertainment. If we were spending most of our time at the park then it wouldn't have been worth the extra expense.

yes, every ADR I wanted, I specified a timeframe, and they got them within ten minutes either way. Both AKL and BC were worth the price of admission before we even set foot on property, IMO.

absolutely. have stayed there 3 times and would stay there again in a heartbeat. and it is leaps and bounds beyond some other disney c's.

we have been to WDW so many times that we don't need to spend all our times in the parks. Last time we stayed 8or 9 days and we stayed Club level at GF. We don't do rope drop so we would have breakfast at the club level. It was Jan. so we would be back in plenty of time for cordials and desserts and some evening we would have the appitizers as our dinner. My 14 year old son did not want to go to the parks, he spent every day in the pool and it was so easy for him to pop into the club area (we stayed in the outer club level) for a snack or soda . Also there was another family that was doing resort only, they had 3 kids so my son spent all his time with them at the pools and the movies at night. We loved staying club level and will do it again on our next trip.

For me I hope so. But I didn't pay much for the CL upgrade. We were booked at GF. With the 30% discount. I was playing on the website and noticed the CL room was only a $1 and change difference. So I called. I paid $6.28 to add it to our 6 night stay! So even if we go once we will get our $ out of it. But we're free 3 evenings at least to enjoy it. Or go and grab and bring back to the room.

Worth it is subjective, but to us it's not worth it. I would not consider what they do in CL, as some people mentioned, pampering. We did it at AKL 3 years ago. Nice, but won't do it again.
