Is closing down MK and then heading to MCO crazy???

The priority lounge opens at 5a. The OPs flight is 5a. The lounge in TC opens later
I wasn't talking about specifics in timing of open/close, flight whatever, I'm just mentioning a possible purpose for usage of a lounge based on multiple people talking about it. If it's to cat nap that may not be guaranteed so the talk of it isn't even something I would mention regardless if the lounge is open or not.

The only time I would not do this is when it is really hot. I would hate to be drenched in sweat and have to take a plane a few hours later.
Eh I would just pack a pair of clothes to change into and there are wipes you can have in a pinch. It's not ideal but we just did that last September, left Epcot around 6 or 7pm and drove to the airport to take a red eye flight to London. Now we did have lounge access two of them technically but the showers were closed in the one because it was closer to close time. So the other one we went to was the Delta Skyclub and though it didn't have showers we just changed our clothes (socks, underwear, etc).

If you're willing to do what the OP is going to do you know there are cons to it.

Wow, WDW to London, lol. I have to admit I love this type of adventure.

It was a great way to start the trip! Sadly we only had 2 days for WDW and did MK the day before and Epcot the day we left. Our UK trip (road tripping around Wales, Scotland and England) was the main part but we did try to maximize what we could at WDW. It was also great to tour with our DISer friends again (hadn't done that since 2022). It was slightly different than for the OP though I will admit because while we had time before our flight (that was at 11pm but we had to get back to our hotel to get luggage, drop off the rental car and have time to decompress) we knew we could sleep on the plane and intended to, OP won't be on that flight for a bit after trying to get MK in :flower3:

This is sorta an older post but just to comment on the lounge part if that suggestion was for napping just know that it's hit or miss whether a lounge allows for that. We've been in multiple lounges where they will wake up someone sleeping to let them know that's not allowed. Some lounges have specific spots for this where the area to sit in is a chaise-type spot in a designated "quiet" area but just sprawling out on a spot taking up multiple sitting spots has had attendants waking people up.

The only one I know that consistently hasn't been that way is Vegas Priority Pass lounge where people don't seem to be awoken even if they are sprawled out. I should have asked my husband if he noticed this in the new Chase lounge when he was there not long ago but I didn't think about it.
I have occasionally seen people napping in the Admirals Club lounges (in fact, just saw one at ORD this morning, lol). So either it's allowed in Admiral's Club, it's not allowed but none of the employees cared enough to wake anyone, it's not allowed but the employees didn't notice, or I didn't notice the employees waking up the nappers. 🤣 Not discounting your experience, just adding another data point.

Oh there's nothing to discount in my post :flower3: it's allowed in some, not allowed in other, some employees care, some do. But the main thing is you can't count on being able to sleep unless there's specific rooms for that (which some lounges do have areas meant for people to be able to relax like that) and there's availability in there. That's why I said "hit or miss", I accounted for what you said in my prior post. I mentioned it only because people kept mentioning a lounge for someone who wasn't getting a hotel for sleeping.

We've been in Flagship, Priority Pass, Chase and Delta Skyclub they all vary by location and likely by employee. The only time I saw someone actually be kicked out of one was in Copenhagen Priority Pass one when two women were sleeping and were woken up and they just promptly went back to sleep so they told them to leave.

We were at MCO around late 3-4am not by choice but a very delayed flight. I recall walking the bottom level and there was nothing open and no people which was nice but….the lighting was also dim every part we went through because nothing was open… I strongly suggest setting alarms on both of your phones and maybe bringing a spare alarm… I could have easily sat in chair and fell asleep within minutes…
