Is Cindy's worth the 2 credits?

While we enjoy CRT because of the overall experience, I don't think it's worth 2 TS credits so we pay cash for this meal. Yes, it's expensive but we all enjoy it. I can use the 2 credits for 2 good dinners elsewhere. We've eaten all meals there and I prefer breakfast the most. Our servers have always been attentive and brought out more of whatever they noticed we were low on.

They also have always brought out an individual plate of food for my DS even though he was too young and did not charge us for it. Now of course, we have to pay for him since he's 3.

I think it's truly a matter of personal preference.

Just my $.02.

I have always wanted to do breakfst at the castle and finally my DH has agreed. My DS tells everyone Cinderella is his girlfriend so it is a must for this upcoming trip. But we opted to pay OOP for it. So we will still have 2 TS meals to use. Best of both worlds for me!!

Whenever I called to reserve CRT, the CM said that it was "pay in advance", but since we were on DDP, we wouldn't be charged, even though she took my card number anyways. I didn't tell her at the time, but we are planning on paying OOP. It just isn't worth 2 TS credits. I know that the food will probably suck (we could only get lunch) but I have never eaten at the castle and I really want to. I have a 3 yr. old son who could care less about the Princesses, although I'm sure my niece will love it :) :tink:

Has anyone done one of the Cinderella character meals? Is it worth it to spend two Table service credits?

No it was not worth 2 credits we do not do teh dining plan but the people with us last Dec did and said they would not do it again especially for what it cost. They had a much better time at the Norway princess breakfast and it was only 1 credit for them. I will agree with them the one at Norway was much better the food and everything was much better.

You all are making me nervous.

My mom and I had done CRT back when it was not a character meal (I know, the food was better back then) but we loved that it was in the castle all the same. So when I asked my mom where she absolutely wanted to go this trip, she said CRT and Chef Mickey's so I could call then to make ADR's.

There was one table available the whole time we were there (except for two 4:10 seatings) so I grabbed it up. Now I'm wondering... should we do it?

We're 25 and 59 years young, and like characters but aren't really concerned about a ton of character interaction. I don't mind that it's 2TS because we were having trouble fitting a TS into our possible MNSSHP plans anyway. We did a 2 TS last year and had no problem spreading out credits to cover the empty day. We don't want to spend money so we're not going OOP.

Should I cancel? Would we enjoy this?? Thanks! :)

We didnt have the best experience at dinner there. However, I dont want to bash the experience. I wouldnt do it again, but when my youngest DD is older and may want to, I will concede....for the experience.
It was myself, my mom and DD10, celebrating their birthdays. Once in a lifetime kind of thing my DD will always remember. That was worth the 2 TS.....the food, service, and lack of characters even showing up....not worth it.
The pictures with Cinderella are a beautiful keepsake. SO, IMO, its more of an emotional/lets make a memory type of experience, not a dining experience. Granted, this is solely based on my experience there:)

We (DH, me, DD 4, DS 7, DS 10) had a late lunch at Cindy's 12/2005.

It was well worth it for us. The boys enjoyed it far more then expected! We had a table at the window and could see the park. The inside of the castle awed us. Because the boys didn't want to meet the princesses, the characters used the time to have conversations with me daughter.

My DS 10 & I had the salmon & it was the best meal we had in our 8 days there!

My DD HATES charcters with masks, so Chef Mickey's and other choices were not for us.

As others have said, it is a personal decision, but with a little girl in tow think you'll have a good experience if you see it all thru her eyes!

I actually liked CRT. Our meal was very good and my daughters were mesmorized by the castle. 2 TS is expensive, but it's in the castle, and you get two portraits with Cinderella and each of my girls got a princess wand. Plus, it's the only place we got to see the Fairy Godmother. I'd do it again.

I totally agree with you. Also if you have never done a meal in the castle I think it is a must, who doesn't want to eat in the castle. We did a dinner and loved it.

Not trying to be snarky here, but this question gets asked at least once per week. If you do a search on "CRT" or Cinderella's Royal Table you will find oodles of posts and responses on both sides of the fence. Opinion seems pretty evenly divided.

We did CRT for breakfast last trip, and all nine of us enjoyed it. I was uncertain about how it would be because of all the negative reviews, but we really had a good time and did not think the food was bad at all. Will I do it every trip, no. Will I do it again, yes. IMO, everyone should eat in the castle at least once, even if you don't have girls, my DS loved the little show.;)

I'd say for food- definitely not. It used to be a great place for prime rib dinner but the last two trips we ate there, our food was cold.

For the experience of your children meeting Cinderella in the castle if it is their dream- maybe.

We also enjoyed the Cinderella dinner at GF way more. The food was phenomenal- we got to spend a lot more time with Cinderella, the prince was there too and she loved Suzy and Perla.

If I was going to do again and was on dining I think I'd pay OOP for Cindy and double up the credits for another fine dining experience.

Having said all that. . .if your heart tells you go, GO. If you're getting dining free, then the experience is free anyway! And it could very well be priceless. This is the first trip my daughter actually said to me "Oh mom, lets not take the time to do character dining. Where can I get a good steak?" LOL She's only 11. The time has gone by so fast. Two minutes ago, she was sneaking and planting a kiss on surprised prince charming's cheek at the GF dinner- and having her portrait drawn in the lobby afterward.

My husband and i actually both got teary eyed that night watching the artist draw her- thinking how soon she'd be grown up and look so different from the portrait in her little princess gown. We never imagined how true that would be, only four years later.

Seize the time-make the memories. You'll remember the character interaction far longer than the food.

Laren

p.s. (I also wanted to say that we've been to EPcot princess breakfast twice. First time-best character meal ever. Second time- they were swamped and the princess were literally a fly-by. So your mileage may vary no matter which place you choose character dining- but they sure do their best to make every child feel like the only child.

I couldn't even finish reading the rest of the posts when I saw this, I'm boo hooing in my Cherry Pepsi right now!:sad1: I think I will def. CRT just to see my little girl (only 8 month old) in the Castle. It breaks my heart to know just how fast they grow up! This why my family will always be Disney lovers it is more than a place it is the feeling deep inside you that you cannot describe it makes us all young again!
