Is Chef Mickey's ADR Followed By MSEP Possible on an Extremely Crowded Saturday?

We are thinking of taking my son to Chef Mickey's on our arrival night because he keeps asking us when he can eat with Mickey. He saw a picture of Chef Mickey's and wants to go there. I thought about waiting based upon the reviews of dinner, but given his recent, repeated requests, I thought I would go for the experience of meeting Mickey. We also think we better do it on arrival night (rather than later in the week for breakfast) or he might keep asking us, "When do I get to eat with Mickey?" My thought was to go to Chef Mickey's and then head to the Magic Kingdom for the Electrical Parade. However, our arrival day is supposed to be exceptionally crowded at the Magic Kingdom. If we have the first seating at Chef Mickey's, at 5:30, would that give us enough time to enjoy dinner with Mickey and get to the Magic Kingdom to stake out a spot for MSEP at 9? I do not think my son could stay up until 11 for the second showing and still make rope drop the next morning.
Thank you in advance for any information or advice you may be able to provide.

You should have plenty of time for a 9pm showing. At most Chef Mickey takes 1h30min, so max you'd be out at 7pm, and then you can either walk to MK (~10mins) or take the monorail (maybe 20mins or so). You'll probably be better off finding a spot not on Main Street, there are usually better spots available a little closer to parade time in Liberty Square/Frontierland
