It needs to be removed badly,very cheesy and the 3-D technology from 1986 was so bad your eyes hurt after watching it.The problem is the old Honey I Shrunk the audience show also needs to go ASAP.

I watched it a couple weeks ago for the first time since 1989.

Oh. My. Gosh. I really don't remember it being so lame. They announced it as a flashback to the 80's or something like that to make like they are keeping it for vintage coolness. Of course we all know better.

I happen to love Captain Eo...guess I'm in the minority. I do think it has run its "tribute" course and that its time for the entire Imagination pavilion to get a large refurb/makeover.

I enjoyed it too. Yes, it's totally cheesy 80's. Accept that before you go in. I remember watching it as a kid, so I loved the memories.

You're not alone - I loved it too.
And I didn't even have the nostalgia factor to blame it on.
But it was the first and only time that 3-d worked for me. I don't know what's different between Eo and all the others but it was amazing to experience that for the first time.

I saw it in its original run and remember loving it, but I was 8 years old then. I will be back in the World for the first time since then next week and am looking forward to experiencing it as an adult. Also, DD LOVES MJ, so I think we'll have fun with it.

We watch it almost everytime we go to EPCOT. Michael sings a little bit of "The way you make me feel" towards the end (which makes everything else about the film seem more tolerable, even Kooter."

However, it's not just the MJ fans who like it. A month or so ago I was at Disneyland, and when we saw EO the theater was very full and everyone was having a great time!

wow havnt seen a EO thread in a while.

i love EO - i like the nostalgia of it. and the litte cart outside selling the merch is always a stop during my trip.

i was never a fan of honey shrunk the audience tho, i never really got the films as a kid, but i was always big into star wars and star trek so the EO show appeals to me a bit better.

not saying its the best show ever but its a decent little watch on a trip i think. its like a trip back in time and i like it.

on the other hand i do hope they update it to somthing new at some point.

My feelings exactly about Captain EO! I LOVE the Supreme Leader when she drops from the ceiling like a giant spider....her makeup is so great!

I personally love it. Wanted to buy MJs tshirt last time i was there but they stopped selling them.
