Well said ;-)It's really about which resort you prefer, I agree.
The feel and proximity of the two resorts are quite different -- BLT is modernist and near MK; Boardwalk is softer in theme and walks to Epcot. If you want F&W at Boardwalk, being a home resort owner there is practically essential.
I sometimes equate it to marriage: Do you want to be married 18 years longer to someone who is just ok, or live to the fullest for the time you have with your true love?
BLT poi ts are also a good deal for those without strong locational preference who don't mind roulette at 7 months. It is a good near-park value.we bought bwv points last year and love it,for us it's where we want to stay usually the end of September which is really difficult to book at the seven month mark unless you want an odd day. If it's just about the money most people would advocate buying SSR points and then booking where you can at the seven month mark.
I am not too concerned with the expiration as I will be 69 in 2042.

SSR is usually an open marriage. Polygamy is owning multiple home resorts.I own SSR because I like to try a different resort every time. Should I consider polygamy?![]()

I thought of buying BCV for SAB but dh pointed out that we rarely use the pool when we go to WDW ..because we prefer to go in the cooler months. We bought BCV because we spend several hours every day at SAB. Staying elsewhere wasn't even a second thought. I'll wait until 2042 to worry about what to do next and will enjoy the huge sand bottom pool for the next 26 years in the mean time.![]()
