Is Brown Derby worth two table credits?

I have a dinner reservation at Brown Derby, but am wondering if DIS-ers think it is worth 2 TS credits. My family will be on the free dining plan, and I am already "spending" 2TS per person for CRT lunch for each of the 3 of us. I would pay out of pocket for my daughter, but can't decide if I am using too many table credits and keeping myself from going somewhere else I would enjoy just as much. Is it 2 TS credits at lunch, too? Thanks for your opinions.

I never ate there yet, kids are 5 and 9, so there a few restaurants we just keep them out of, but I had the same question. I love Cobb Salad, and want to try theirs, but it sure ain't worth two.

We ate there last October and we did not feel it was worth the two credits. It was a decent meal but did not really hit it for us with either the food or the atmosphere. OK but would not repeat--especially since it is 2 credits.

I really love the Brown Derby!!! The only reason why we're not using 2 credits for a dinner there is because there were a few other places we wanted to try. Otherwise we'd be back, no question!

That's exactly what the three of us did last year. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere surprisingly kid-friendly. They gave DD6 a special coloring page featuring her favorite, Lizzie McGuire.

To be honest, we had decided to pay OOP because we did not want to use two credits.

If you're going with the Fantasmic! dining package then fiscally it definately doesn't make sense to use 2 TS credits. As someone stated if the FDP price is $39 and the dining plan $38/day, then essentially you're wasting a whole days worth of credits by using them here.
Having said that, I would definately still go, just pay out of pocket for this one.

I would go just for the Cobb Salad (and dessert). Given the prices, no, it's not worth me using two TS credits - I fully intend to pay OOP.

I would say NO! We ate here in Nov/Dec of 2004. The food was very mediocre for the price. It wasn't horrible, but we left thinking what is all the fuss about. It was sort of bland and blah. Maybe we just had an off day. We thought the prices were high for the amount of food served and the quality.

Someday I do plan on trying lunch here to see if maybe we can have a better meal. We definately didn't plan it for this year.

Hello my fellow Oklahoman and others that say the Fantasmic Dinner Package is only $39., so it's cheaper to pay OOP and not use 2 TS credits. The DDP costs $38.00 a day, which also includes 1 credit for a snack and 1 credit for a Counter Service. I figure the TS credit is worth around $20, so is it really that big of a savings to pay OOP for the FDP? When you purchase the FDP OOP (don't you just love acronyms ), it doesn't include tax or gratuity. So . . . I don't see that using 2 TS credits to eat there and do the FDP is a bad use of credits. Am I missing something?

All that being said, never having eaten there and wanting to, I don't know if it is "worth" it either way. I'm trying to justify it myself.

My DM and I went for lunch last year and I would not consider it as being worth 2 TS credits. If it were 1 TS, I Might try it again. We decided that we would rather have 2 meals using 1 TS each, rather than spending 2 TS for one meal. Too many places we want to try....

And pay OOP. The food here is very good, but the prices do not justify using 2 TS credits. We used 2 TS credits in Nov 2005, and ended up regretting it. The meal only ended up being about 10.00 more than our meal at Cindy's (which was still 1 credit at the time).

We went back this January and paid OOP at lunch. We really enjoy the Cobb Salad and BBQ chicken, but the prices just dont = 2 credits.

We would have to say no as well. The food was ok but it really wasn't the type we enjoy. I wouldn't use 2 credits to eat here.
