We have tried all the restaurants in MGM except BD..how is it & is it worth 2 credits? :confused3

IMHO, no, it is not worth 2 credits. We've eaten there twice, including this past December. We had DDP but did not use it for the meal, and decided we won't eat there again. There wasn't anything wrong with it, it's just not that special to us. We'd had a lovely meal there our first time (great CM, great food, terrific table). On this past trip, server was pushing food on us and brought (and charged us for) things we didn't order, and the food was fine but not great. (We're not the types to complain or make a fuss, we just "vote with our feet" by not returning when we're not happy with service or experience.)

We DO, however, have no problem spending 2 credits at Cal. Grill, and are trying to decide whether or not to also use 2 for Artists Point (which we also love).

I had a good meal there this past Dec (I was not on any dining plan). I was not too fond of the setting but it was nice. I did have a great meal at Artist Point and look forward to a return visit.

For us it is. Brown Derby is our favorite restaurant in any of the parks. Atmosphere, food, service, it has it all. Give it a try.

never used the Dining Plan, but I would say yes, we had an excellent meal there.

It is good and we like it, but not two credits worth. We paid OOP for this one and used the two credits for what I consider real signature dining--Flying Fish, Artist Point or Claifornia Grill.

Not really. I ate there in December with a group of girlfriends. It was a nice meal, but since work was paying, we didn't care what it cost (I was in town with a conference). On my own, I wouldn't spend the money. My friend's dish was not cooked to order - meat was over done. My food was good (very good actually) but not good enough for 2 credits. Just my opinion...

We loved it. We weren't on the dining plan, but we did do the Fantasmic package so we got to order whatever we wanted. I would definately do it that way again. I loved my appetizer (crab cakes) and my meal (some kind of steak/fillet.) I don't really remember the desert, but I remember leaving happy and full! I don't know about using 2 credits, but it was absolutely worth the fantasmic plan if that is an option for you.

we love the derby! as DVC members we are not on a dining plan, but would definitely dined there. love artist point too. our last 2 visits at california grill were not up to par so we have not returned.
