I wonder...

In 1996 reports came through that Bin Laden was terminally ill with a kidney disease. However, an interviewer subsequently talked to him and he denied it. More recently, a sermon was recorded with a VERY blurry image of what was said to be Bin Laden.

But was it him? And what is this rumour we've heard about his funeral?

Would Al Queda announce his death to make him a holy martyr?

Goodness knows.

If I were to guess, I'd say he's dead.

I don't believe that Al Queda would announce his death. I believe he died some time ago.

I don't think he's dead, but I'm not sure he is relevant. There are many who choose to carry out his mission, so the one guy doesn't make that much difference.:confused3

Not unless he was clearly killed by the "enemy" and could become a martyr for the cause.

Also, I have a feeling this thread could get political (aka locked) very quickly.
