Is Beaches and Cream worth altering plans for?

Having finally gone there to eat on my last trip, I would say it is NOT worth altering your plans for. It was good, but I would not alter anything to go there. Not saying I wouldn't ever go there again, I just wouldn't postpone park time for it.

I'm in NJ. Home of the diners and I thought B&C was decent but not worth altering your plans. We are staying at BWV next trip and if an ADR pops up while we are there we will go but I'm not even doing one ahead of time.

And I'm not a fan of Friendly's. At all.

Is B&C worth altering our ideal touring plans for or not really anything that special?
Its really not that special. Especially for a 6YO who doesn't have the historical background of the era that B&C represents.

Is it good? yes. Is it worth altering plans? As others have said, no. I myself would call it better than a Friendly's (They've all closed here), but still just run of the mill ice cream that is not great nor is it bad. In ice cream terms I'd say it's a bit vanilla. ( I know, it's bad.)

No.

Do you live anywhere near a Friendly's? Much better.

Have lunch in Epcot somewhere - much better options. Get ice cream in France.

I'm seconding this. I went to B&C on my last trip and all I could think while I was eating there was "I can get better sundaes at Friendly's back home."

I think that the Friendly's comparison is spot on. I remember when Friendly's had a limited menu and was mainly about the ice cream, Fishamjigs, and burgers. Anyway, B&C is kind of like that, a decent place for lunch if you are going by, but not worth changing plans to make sure you have one on your route.

OP- I think B&C is overrated. It is a fine spot for lunch if you are on the Boardwalk, but I would never change my plans and leave a park to go there.

The only reason we'd go to B&C would be for the No Way Jose. As good as it is, I wouldn't alter our plan to go out of the way to get there.

I like it but we always stay at BC so it’s not a pain to get there. It’s nkt worth changing plans over. Plus the last time I was there it was edy ice cream and I can buy that at home.
