we are deciding between CBR, CSR and POFQ but I just found out for $700 more for the week we can stay at BC. Is it worth the extra money? It will just be me DH and our 2 year old. If not which resort would be best. Our TA suggested CSR my friend suggested CBR due to the recent renovation but DH likes the boat to DS at FQ

We'll be staying at the Beach Club for the first time in September so unfortunately I can't speak for it yet. But we we are really looking forward to staying there based on everything we've seen and heard. It'll be me, DH and our DS who will turn 2 on the trip. DS loves the water and the pool looks amazing so I know he'll love it. And my favorite park is EPCOT so I'm excited to be right beside it.

I stayed at CSR on my first trip, over 5 years ago, and in my opinion it was one of the more adult themed resorts I've been to. I didn't use the pool there but I've heard the theming is pretty cool. I've also stayed at POFQ and I loved it for its small size and boat to Disney Springs. I haven't seen the new splash pad though.

Never stayed at CBR so unfortunately I'm no help there. Hope you have a great trip wherever you stay!

I think it depends on your other plans. If you will be spending a lot of time at Epcot it is worth it. We have stayed at BC and it is one of our favorite resorts. We are there again in August.

For a 2 year old, SAB is a bit much, but the sandy shallow area might be fun.

I think I would lean toward POFQ unless you plan on walking into Epcot multiple days

We will be doing 3 days at MK 1 at each other park. I thought the rooms looked much nicer and since we will be taking breaks during the day we thought the nicer room might be better

If you want to save the $700 def go FQ. Small resort, quaint, love the boat to Disney Springs too. And you have the benefit of the food court, restaurant and pool at Riverside to switch things up a bit too. We stayed at FQ for many years while the kids were small but have moved onto YC/BC for our past 4 trips and my granddaughter has loved the baby sand pool at SAB when she was 4 months and 16 months old. Taking her back this summer and she'll be 26 months old then. We love the added amenities you get staying deluxe and of course the walk into Epcot. Depends what you are looking for. We did miss the large food courts but have found alternates - boardwalk bakery, garden grocer, and so many counters at WS, restaurants between the 5 hotels on Crescent Lake. Enjoy.

What didn't he like about it? We were going to do breakfast at Cape May our first morning so that would be a bonus :)

We just used the room, but he just wasn't a big fan of the decor which surprised me.

I think if we were using more of the amenities, especially the pool, he might have felt different. He just felt it was kind of bland.

If you're only going to Epcot once during your week, I would choose a different resort. The rooms were nice enough, but they didn't make a huge impression on us.

BC is our only deluxe choice with our TAs deals besides Poly but it's $1200 more than the mods for the week. So we are between POFQ, CSR and BC. We are used to the nice resorts in Vegas so trying to ease th the transition to the Disney resorts :)

The grounds of all the Disney resorts are beautiful but the rooms don't exactly match up to 5 star resorts outside of Disney. It's all about convenience. BC is definitely more resort-like than the mods as far as the rooms. And you have the ability to walk over to the boardwalk too.

We are huge CBR fans but just about everything at BC is a step up from CBR and POFQ. Not sure I could stomach $1200 more.

When I look at your group dynamics and your plans, I would choose POFQ. The resort is so much more compact than the BC, which may not seem like a big deal, but with a little one, was a huge deal for me. The boat ride to DS is lovely. The room does not have have a balcony, but your odds of getting one at the BC are kind of low. That balcony would be nice when the little one is sleeping, but you may not get one anyway.

I loved BC, but my husband was unimpressed.

My DH disliked it as well. He is "sucking it up" for the kids this year.

I would stay at POFQ with a 2 year old. They have a brand new splash pad and it's a much smaller resort. It's easy to lose a 2 year old at SAB.

I totally disagree. See post below.

The kiddie sand plat area is perfect for toddlers.

BC is, by far, our favorite resort. It is worth it to me. You can walk to 2 parks which is a huge convenience. You can request a full balcony and have a place to relax while your little one naps and sleeps early
Of your other choices POFQ is my favorite Mod for its size.

Beach/Yacht is our favorite but we prefer Yacht over Beach as all the Yacht rooms have full size balconies....we love the close proximity to the WS and HS...also most of our favorite restaurants in close proximity...also one of the best pools..

We stayed BC once and found the interior hallways loud and the room in need of updating (this was in 2014) also our room was a looooong walk from the elevators. Room size was good but otherwise besides the proximity to Epcot we really didn't feel it was worth the $380/nt we paid.

With a 2 year old, I would absolutely be looking at a Garden Wing room at the Contemporary.

You can WALK a tired cranky child home from the Magic Kingdom before the meltdown gets to critical mass. That in and of itself would make me choose the Contemporary for your family.

Personally I LOVE the Beach Club. But in terms of overall trip enjoyment for you, I suggest looking at the Contemporary. Your family will only enjoy the trip as much as your daughter's moods allow, and being able to switch from park meltdown to pool or bed within a few minutes would make a world of difference.

Agree. Even though we are Poly fans we did stay at BC once and the sand pool area is nice with a toddler! SAB is a huge pool, but you won't lose your 2 year old since you will be with him the whole time. Plus you are right next to Epcot and a walk or boat ride to DHS. You wouldn't have this convenience at the other hotels. Plus there are things to do at the Boardwalk at night. A nice evening stroll before he goes down for the night.
