Is anyone running the Disneyland Half Marathon

I'm going to be running the Disney Half Marathon a week from today. I was just wondering if anybody else has plans to running on the 17th

There's a bunch of us DISers (from the WISH boards) that are going to be there. Me & mom will get there Thur for our first ever trip to DL! I am so excited to see where it all started.

I'm doing the 1/2 mary also. My DW is doing the 5k while DS and DD are running in the kids race the day before. BTW, check out the WISH boards thread for others participating that Tiffj's referring to. Good luck to all!

My husband and I are running it - planning to take a small digital camera and take lots of pictures!!! We've done both WDW Marathon and half marathon, so are looking forward to this one - it's a much shorter trip from San Diego to Anaheim than it is to Florida!

DW is doing the 5K, DD5 the 200 yard dash, and DS2 the 100 yard dash (if he isn't intimidated by the other kids!). I spoke to Steve (?) yesterday at the Florida headquarters. He told me that there will be 5,000 people running the 5K and 800-900 kids running the family races. He said that they told people that they had to check in on Friday because they didn't want 6,000 people in line on Saturday morning; only the half-marathoners actually had to check-in on Friday. I know that posting this here might result in a few more people in line ahead of us on Saturday morning, but maybe if they're DISers, I won't mind so much.

Im doing the half and it was in our paperwork sent to us that we can checking Saturday. I wont even arrive until Saturday noon time. Im sure they mixed it up. Our race is Sunday and can check in Friday or Saturday. The 5 K is Saturday and must be checked in Friday.

The information from Steve is that the half-marathoners must check in on Friday and that the 5K runners can check in on the morning of the race, but he said to get there early. You may want to call him; you can get his number from Disneyland Guest Relations.

I can guarantee you that the information you were given about the half marathon check in is false.

Fact: Half marathoners can check in and receive their race bib at any point during the expo on either Friday OR Saturday.

And according to the official program:
"All registered 5k and Kids' Races participants must pick up their race packets at the Disneyland Health and Fitness Expo on Friday, September 15th from 10am-6pm. Adults must present photo ID."
Whether they'll be allowing it Saturday morning appears at best uncertain.
