Is anyone NOT sick these days?

Just got back from the urgent care dept. Thought I could get better on my own, but I have a sinus infection that's really hit me hard...my house is a wreck and laundry is piling - but I just don't have the strength. Hopefully the amoxicillin will kick in and relieve some of this pain soon.

DH is in bed with stomach pain and alot of head congestion, fever, etc..

Both my kids got sick with the stomach bug within hours of each other on tuesday. DD got a cold with it, flared her asthma and now has an ear infection. DS pulled through and is just fine.

WAH! I just want everyone to be healthy again and get my house in order

Has your household been "hit" yet?

Yes my husband has been sick since last Sunday, with congestion, a really nasty cough, sometimes fever. He saw a dr. yesterday and got 6 very expensive pills Hopefully they help. He gets tired out really easily.
My daughter had a sore throat yesterday and today is a bit congested and tired looking.
So far my son and myself are doing okay.

I seem to remember lots of sickness before Spring Break in past years. I know I cannot wait to air out the hosue and let the yucky stinking germy air out and the fresh ( sort of I live near Chicago) air in. Hopefully with Spring Break coming up, the kids can get better and they can clean the schools and start fresh at the beginning of April. I kinow our shcool is having an outbreak of stomach bug...so far 2 out of 6 of my kids have had it..one is in the middle of it now..poor baby.....he's realy sick. I of course can't sleep and my house reeks of bleach and lysol. I won't let it stink of the other dreaded stuff..... Melissa

Not yet. But, then again, we leave for WDW in 25 days so I guess we're waiting for closer to that time!

I feel your pain. Just yesterday I finished my THIRD dose of antibiotics. I have been sick since before Christmas with a bad cold, the flu, and two bronchial infections. I am now on an inhaler 2x a day. On thursday we had the duct work cleaned in our house - a very intensive (6 hours) and a bit messy job. The guys said things were real clogged and in some places we were just re-circulating the same (bad) air. The air doesn't feel as thick now so I hope it helps.

Hope you are feeling better soon. I am (hopefully) back to Curves tomorrow as I haven't been there since November and I NEED to get back in shape!

Knock on wood, no one sick here, but we had our fill of it during the fall. DH had pneumonia TWICE, DS had pneumonia and bronchitis, DD had bronchitis, and I had sinus infection... not to mention various "colds" .... this all started in September and dragged on until I was the last one sick over Thanksgiving weekend. Longest fall of my life!! DH and I also got a touch of stomach bug right after Christmas. Thankfully we were all well for WDW in mid-Jan. SO we have had our fair share of fall/winter illness, thank you!! Hopefully we will all be immune to whatever is going around now......I'll send up a prayer for all of my sick Disboard friends and their families while in Church this morning (which I will be late for if I don't get off this computer and get in the shower!)....................P

I'm sure I wasn't alone when I posted..that's too bad.

My antibiotics helped tremendously over night and I'm ready to conquer my house now...though DH is still not better

I hope everyone will get over these germy bugs soon and be feeling better real soon. I sound like a broken record to my kids telling them to wash their hands so often - they're starting to say it like me before I even remind them

My boyfriend has been sick for a week with a nasty sinus infection/cold/sore throat....guess who woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose this morning?? ME

Knock on wood but I am the only one out of 7 of us that has not been sick this year! Drinking loads of OJ lol! Pixie dust to all to help you feel better.

I guess I'm kind of glad to here that I'm not the only one who has been sick! I had the flu last weekend (fever/body ACHES/ chest congestion w/ funny cough) that hit me with no warning and with no idea where I got it! My DD called from college to say she was sick with a bad cold and I warned her not to come home for the weekend since I had new germs, but she came anyway (to sleep in her own bed!). but, knock on wood, she or the rest of the family never got my flu. There's a wicked stomach bug going around as well - I'll keep drinking my OJ!!!!

Just in from urgent care with DD. She has double pneumonia. Had an albuterol treatment while there too. Now she will get antibiotics and albuterol at home. Luckily she is not feeling too bad right now. Motrin helps!
Hope everyone here gets better and it does not spread to others!

I've been down for a few weeks w/ a stomach "bug"(some bacteria too long to pronounce???). I finished my last dose of anitbiotics this morning. While the worst of the symptoms are gone, I still have a lot of tenderness in my belly. Along w/ an ache in my right lower side that just won't stop. (First thing I thought was my appendix, my MD said my blood counts are fine, I don't exhibt the right signs, and the pain isn't intense enough, and I've had it for going on 10 days same spot-- they think it's an adhesion from the infection).

Needless to say now DS and I both have scratchy throats and coughs. See my countdown clock--- for some reason it never fails to work this way. I'm just thankful we will still be able to go though!! Thankfully we wanted to relax more this trip. So every other day is an off day.
