Is anyone going to cancel their AP7 rate for 10/17?

I just thought I would give this a try...

We booked 10/14-check out 10/17 at the DHL but noticed the fireworks are only there 10/17 (Friday). My girls LOVE the fireworks so I am hoping to stay all day friday and go home on Saturday. I am hoping for the DLH AP7 rate for the night of 10/17. I called the # on my reservation and they said someone with the AP7 rate would need to cancel for us to change our dates.
So if you are thinking of canceling could you please send me a PM.

If this plan dosen't work out I am going to try Priceline name your own price for 10/17 and HOPE I don't get Raddison Manigate (new Red Lion) again. We had bad luck there.

I would definately keep calling and/or checking the availablity calendar on the AP site....daily

That is the fall break week for most AZ schools and I am sure someone will end up cancelling. From what I understand, they only offer the AP7 rates if the availability is at a certain percent. So if anyone cancels, that percentage will go up.

I also have heard that they hold rooms for any conventions up until 3 weeks before the event. So, if not booked, those would increase the availabilty percent, too.

Last year, I had to call daily for about 10 days until I got all the days that I wanted at the great AP rate.

I saw that PP is avail for that night for $230....I know that is proabably more than you are paying for DLH, but at least maybe they would help with your bags.

Thanks We got the AP7 rate for $159.00 at DLH. I will call every day to see if anything changes.
