I don't really see how you are any more locked in with the new system than the old. Either way you have a set return time for the ride you can use it or not. If anything the new system is more flexible because you can change your time or even the attraction. Couldn't do that before.

And I've yet to feel a need to be glued to my phone while I'm there. Usually I make any changes on the bus ride over or while standing in line. It never interferes with my day.[/Q
With the old system, only the E ticket rides had FP. You could ride most attractions standby. I could decide wether or not to ride or move on at the spur of the moment. Now ,most rides have longer stand by lines because there's a FP line. IMO spontaneity is gone. I'm glad you enjoy all the planning, I don't.

Maybe I'm a lame brain but it seems simpler to me to push a botton on a computer screen from the comfort of your home instead of running across a park, separating from family and running back to do it again. But go figure. I've been to the park twice since FP + came along. I really don't get the haters at all. some people can't handle change. MB and FP+ are amazing, convenient , simple and time saving and take away nothing and only add to the park experience.

You already know the answer, but it's a sign of a weak position. Up there with "I know you are but what am I" as a response.

I enjoy debating point-by-point with factual and defensible positions on both sides, but I can't find much in this one (from the other side).

sorry you have had such a hard time adjusting to the reality of the new system…perhaps the thread should be closed because MDE/FP+/MB is here to stay. I'd be willing to bet big $ on that.

Probably the same reason those that don't like it get upset and call those that do- blinded by pixie dust or drinking the kool-aid. That's just about as tiresome-

I haven't invested the time that I have to help people because I think it will go away. It's because I don't think it boils down to pushing a button. Maybe you think it's about me hating on it? Of course, you haven't looked at it because you can just push a button and it's all done.

You are correct. I dislike the Poly Pizza Huts, the bulldozing of Sunset Point, The 'disney parkization' the no merchandise at the Contemp…and I have begrudgingly adjusted to it…

I agree- the new system is not much easier to use. I think it will be simple to use with time.

It is, for many, more convenient and works better. But technically easier? No.

Thats a subjective statement. Pulling a paper pass from a machine was technologically simpler. To this generation zombied out on their iPhones that may no longer be the case. They might not know one day how to read a dictionary,spell a word without spellcheck, talk to the person next to them without texting….get my drift?

I had no difficulty navigating the system on line and love that we no longer feel the need to be at RD to ride TSM or Soarin'. I get that those who don't visit as often as we do, 1-2 times a year, and were use to getting there for EMH and RD may not be as happy. I still think that this is an improvement for everyone, IMO...after all, it is a vacation...Right???

Are you suggesting that MeasBoy close his FP+ instruction thread? The thread that helps everyone when they're trying to navigate MDE and FP+? Do you really think the information he provides is so pedestrian? I certainly don't. His thread has been an invaluable resource, but I guess that's because I'm stupid and need help to push the right buttons!

Sincerely glad it works for you.

Consider though that not all like to preplan to the extent necessary that the FP+ system requires--yes, requires--if you want to minimize time in longer lines. It is after all, a vacation--and there are plenty of others who leave appointment scheduling behind on them.
