Is anyone else sick out there?

I was wondering if this THING is going around! I went to the Dr.'s today to find I have Infectious Bronchitis. I also broke a rib from extreme coughing! Not at all fun... I feel awful.I called out today but I have no more sick time left, and the Dr. doesn't want me at work.(alot of second hand smoke there). I'm afraid I could jeopardize my job if I call out tomorrow! Stinks being real sick and scared about work.

I don't have a cough, but my nose is stuffy, even though people I talk to on the phone say that it is not. I think they're just being polite.

That does stink, Tense. I'm sorry you're so sick. Maybe if you wear a face mask tomorrow they'll let you go home.

We have been seeing alot of sinus infections, colds and allergies @ my office. I think there have been a few cases of bronchitis. I know that we have sent 2 people to the hospital with cases of bacterial meningitis.
Tense I hope you get to feeling better soon. Drink lots of liquids and rest. {{HUGS}} to you.

It's horrible that when we're sick we feel guilty for calling in. It shouldn't be like that, and a job certainly shouldn't be in jeopardy. What are sick days for? You're not abusing it.

There are alot of people sick in my office. People are blaming it on the kids going back to school and passing stuff around.

Today I've been sneezing and have a stuffy nose. And it feels like a sore throat is starting. I mentioned to DS before that I can go through 8 years working in a hospital without being sick, but put me back in school 4 months and I'm sick.

I've got a blocked nose and am sneezing at the moment. Feel guilty if I don't go to work tomorrow and then when I get there I will be told 'why did you come in'!! Can't win either way!! At least work is not too strict for sickness days. Although if your record gets too high they have a chat to see what they can do to help ie physio if its that type of problem, unfortuantely theres nothing that can be done for the 'common cold'.

I have the sore throat thing along with a bad sinus flare up. Got some antibiotics which have decided to make me sick. Not sure which is worse.

Thanks for all the well wished! I did call work today... I don't think they're too happy, but made me apply for a medical LOA. I said I just take a few vacation days, but they weren't willing to do that. So if for any reason I don't 'qualify' for the medical(work has their own adgenda on this..) I may not have a job after working for them for 10 years.... nice huh! I hope the medical goes through... just another thing to worry about. AND this antibiotic they gave me is making me nauseated. Anyone take Zithromax before???
Sorry... I fell as if I'm whining here...just feeling like crap...and a bit down about it.
