When I put it THAT way, its a lot of mowing. Today is Friday. I mowed late Tuesday because it needed it and was going to rain Wednesday. It didn't rain that much. Yesterday it didn't need it and I am thinking I can wait until Sunday. I can't. It needs to be done by at the latest tomorrow. If I don't mow it I have to raise the blade, and its high already, or I have to bag it. Tomorrow I have plans so I don't have time. Today its supposed to rain so I will have to do it today before it rains and after it the dew dries out. It takes 90 minutes or more, depending on the direction/pattern.

At MOST I mow once a week. I try to make it every 2 weeks if I can.

We COULD mow every 72 hours but we're only mowing once a week. I say "we," but I mean DH. :lmao: Cut grass makes me break out in hives and lose the ability to breathe properly.

What I'm finding amazing, though, is how big my plants are this year! The peony bushes are about 5 feet tall and the clematis had made a leap off the fence and was trying to creep across the yard on its way to take over the garage. :lmao: My neighbor's irises are about 4 feet tall.

Of course, the weeds are gargantuan sized, as well.

Our lawn is too big to mow - guys with tractors come and do it (Mexican guys, and I've never asked for their papers!) - but it seems like it is never short these days.

I pay little attention to how often they come, but I'm thinking they have been here more than usual. We'll see when the bill comes, lol.

There'd be less to mow if we had a flippin pool, though. I'm still so very, very jealous. ;) :)

It only saved 30 minutes and I spend that taking care of the plants around the pool. Its like E=MC2 of yard work; Yard work can be created but never destroyed. :rotfl:

I am a deviant. I mow as often as I can because I love to mow. I love the solitude, the excercise (I only use push mowers), and the smell of fresh-cut grass. :)

I don't mow. I tell DH he is still around because I need the grass cut and someone to kill spiders. :lmao:

He usually cuts the grass once a week.

I agree. My hops are up to 12 feet high already!

I mow every 5-6 days. Hope to hold off until Sunday.

I like to mow as well, except when there is other things I need to do. I have a walk behind, variable speed Toro. It does require slight pushing to propel it forward so there is more exercise as a result of mowing with the Toro than the Honda, which I could set at a fast pace and get "pulled along", which is probably how I slipped and tore my rotator cuff three years ago.

I am sitting here DISing waiting for the lawn to dry out. It has been a rainy spring and the grass is growing like crazy. We need to mow on dry days before it rains again or else bag the grass. We have been mowing every four or five days. I enjoy cutting the lawn though so I don't mind.:goodvibes

yep.this is me too!!!

I had to work last Saturday and left my husband with very strict instructions...DO NOT MOW THE LAWN.

Our yard is growing like crazy and probably should be mowed every 4-5 days right now. With work though we can only mow on the weekends so it gets done once a week. Well, my DH can only mow as I refuse to do it since I do pretty much all the other household work except that. It is usually pretty high and thick and takes forever and needs to be bagged.

DH hurt his leg two weeks ago and can't really do the mowing so we have been begging relatives to stop by and help us....but it is on their schedule. Hopefully someone can do it this weekend or I will have to pay the neighbor kid across the street to do it. The lawn service that does my neighbors house has been coming every 5 days or so.

My plants are also getting huge....I've already trimmed back a few things. I just put in my petunias this past weekend so I hope they start growing!
